Last weekend I played my last game as a Lightning player. For the past six years, I’ve spent almost every summer weekend at the ballfields. I’ve sacrificed pool parties, hanging out with friends, and so much more, but I truly mean it when I say I wouldn’t change a thing. Girls have come and gone over the years, but the chemistry has always stayed the same. This team has been so much more than just a softball team, it’s been my second family. I’m going to miss the hotel hangouts, the dugout talks, eating together after games, and all the little moments that made every weekend so special. It’s always hard leaving after the summer is over but this summer is so much harder cause this one’s forever. I’ll miss every part of it. This team has given me memories I’ll never forget and some of my best friends for life. I’m really grateful we got to go out with a bang. I love you guys. Thank you for the best six years. I’ll always be proud to be a Lightning player.
