Here’s a preview from my session with Maysville senior Sophie Dennis. She does so many sports, we couldn’t even fit them in one session! Hopefully we can do another one in the spring for softball. #classof2027 #seniorsession #maysville

dear lightning softball

thank you for my last 9 years of travel ball. making a family that i never knew i needed. these girls are someone i will always cherish meeting them forever…when i started travel i didn’t really think i was going to like it then my second year came around and i made so many new friends that year and i realized that softball isn’t always abt the wins and loses it’s about having fun and making new friendships along the way and that’s my favorite thing about travel ball.

I really have to thank my parents for all they have done for me the past years for this sport my mom always being my coach and my dad coming in my last few years of it. I would say the last couple years of travel where rough not playing but my parents were always there each step of the way to make sure i would be healthy again. They always have confidence in me when i don’t even have confidence in myself and that’s what i love about them. and thank you Steven for the jokes, and always being hard on me about playing basketball, i will miss your fist bumps going out on to the field, and you always something stupid saying “do something crazy” or whatever comes to mind when i’m about to go hit. I’m going to miss you in my dugouts and always cheering me on or picking me up after i did something wrong and just saying “hey you got it next time don’t get down on yourself”. I’m going to miss you guys being my coaches.

But from all the memories we have made from going on a cruise together, hotel stays, and so much more. I went through every era of mine with these girls. I’m going to miss them like crazy and most of all i will always cherish the moments we had with each other. I love all the friendships i have made the past 9 years with these girls it’s crazy that it is all ending so quickly. I’m so happy we went out with a BANG!! Oh girls im going to miss playing with you guys…but this isn’t a goodbye it’s a see you later
