POSTS STORIES REELS

I simply had to post these bangers from my talented friend @dgerl who captured so many beautiful moments from @the__uninvited Boarding Pass presented by @burton and the raddest week of community events for @sbr.aotearoa ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Thank you Jess,Abby, Nirvana and Carmen for letting us create a little bit of your @the__uninvited magic down here in Aotearoa. Also a massive thanks to @cayleyalger & her SBR Community for allowing us to bring The Uninvited into your event and together we have all created something super special. To @halesashby & @rach.hadfield for hosting the inspiring Industry panel and bringing your @depthoffieldnz creatives to revel in the snow.

To @laura_hedley_ & @garett.shore & @dunbar.graham & @jenhoultham from @cardronanz for believing in this event from the very beginning and being our biggest supporters.

To @monsroyale for always giving so generously and being a pivotal partner.
To @burton for getting behind The Uninvited in NZ and really allowing us to bring it to our community.
And to our partners @5fyve, @snowsportsnz Mountain Women, @b.social_taproomandeatery @joeysfootbeds you all are amazing.

To all the athletes and riders who showed us such epic steeze, the judges, the crew, the media, park builders, DJ’s, MC’s and volunteers. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 by @sophieluther

@darkhorsebike was created to deepen the women’s freeride field and build community. @casey__brown__ saw a huge gap between the young, up and coming freeriders and big stage events, and there wasn’t really a platform for them to showcase their skills and have the chance to be invited to bigger events.

@sophieluther @elinor_w_brown_ @theretreatalchemist @byselahgrace and the Dark Horse crew and team of amazing coaches, support staff, riders, family and friends are so lucky to be able to help bring this event to life 🫶🏼

The vibes are incredible and the community so strong. We feel like we are building something very special with a focus on both young talent and supporting our leading ladies.

Dark Horse consists of two unique parts:

The Academy: a 5 day intensive program with on and off bike lessons from the best established freeriders in the sport @silverstarbikepark

The Jam: 3 days of rider judged, jam style format. The best freeriders in the world and the top Academy riders get to showcase their skills and vote on the rider that gets a @naturalselectionbike invite!

An “on-ramp” where you can come out of nowhere and end up at one of the prestigious freeride events in the world!

This is the next generation of Rampage riders coming up, so look out!

Think old school glamour, jazz music, very adult grazing platters and lots of dancing 💃 It’s @erinmurdie birthday bash!!! Awesome night, expertly executed 👌🏼🫶🏼 by @sophieluther

Watch this one quick friends as I’m sure I’ll be forced to remove it and delete all associated content when Aaron gets home.

I turn my back for a couple of weeks at @darkhorsebike and return to this!!! At least the kids are happy. Oh and the neighbours kids and of course @supa_sharp_shoota

New 3D printing obsession loading. And already been elevated to the next level!

Im so lucky to call Lake Hāwea my home. What an incredible community we have here in this little slice of paradise. A small but mighty group of volunteers led by our matriarch Colleen pulled together the inaugural @lakehaweacommunitycentre Evening Winter Market this weekend and what a turn out. We were blown away and possibly a little overwhelmed with the attendance - a great problem to have.

Hundreds, possibly thousands came out to wander the beautiful stalls, sip some mulled wine, eat yummy treats and donate back to our community.

The vibes were high and the locals shone. Thanks to everyone who helped out, donated time, baking, raffle prizes, turned up to support the market and to my fellow vollies for being such good buggers. Let’s do it again!

Capturing all that happens behind the scenes at an event to make the magic happen is difficult as it is always so full on from that POV.

Here are a few moments..and these moments filled with laughter & full send on collaboration! 🔥🔥

It takes a village to make these events happen & the number one thing…? Is how much fun can you make it, even when there is 1 million things on the to do list…

Working with epic humans is just one of the things that makes this biz all worth it!! I’m beyond grateful to be a part of this epic team & vision!

From the media team, to the team up at Silver Star to the coaches & volunteers! Thank you for being a part of this & making it so much damn fun!

Casey Brown you have created something fucking special!

Stay tuned for more epic Dark Horse events coming in 2027!
