[🚨NEW MUSIC ALERT!] PRE-SAVE LINK IN BIO

Our new single “We Got That” drops 8/25/25

You can’t erase us. You can’t replace us. You can’t escape us. No museum can hold the weight of our wonder. We are everywhere and in everything. “We Got That” thing you wish you had…that thing that invites the whole world to celebration, transformation and higher vibration, even though the world doesn’t deserve us at all.

Headed to Fort Wayne for the @sweetwatersound Retreat: The Future of Hip-Hop Music Production & Sound Design. Shout out to @hiphopeducationcenter for making it happen.

I’m representing @soulsciencelab and @buildingbeats. I’m bringing my perspective as an artist, educator, and creative technologist. I look forward to building with a community that is shaping what’s next.

The future of Hip-Hop music education is ours to imagine, shape, and build together.

Soul Science Lab (Chen Lo & Asante Amin) is a Brooklyn-based music and multimedia duo creating work at the intersection of sound, story, and community.

Through live performance, education, and immersive projects like The Renaissance Mixtape (commissioned by the Apollo Theater), their work explores where Black music, culture, and imagination are headed.

Through sound and story, they describe themselves as Afrofuturistic griots, carrying memory while shaping what comes next.

Join us April 23 for a conversation with Soul Science Lab and March On! Artistic Director Isisara Bey.

Sometimes you have to slow down and zoom out to see how amazing life is. I’ve been moving so much I haven’t had the chance to share this incredible moment.

It was a moment of pure alignment. This summer I was in Ghana visiting family. One of my homies @papa_lenzy saw me post that I was in town. A few days later I was on stage at the Chale Wote International Street Festival at the iconic Independence Square sharing @soulsciencelab music with tens of thousands of beautiful people. @papa_lenzy @chalewoteofficial I really appreciate the opportunity. Unforgettable. I can’t wait to do it again. Music continues to give me a beautiful life. #chenlo #soulsciencelab #chalewote2025

We’re grateful we got to spread some joy in the midst of all the madness. Our West Coast run was epic. LA and San Diego owe us nothing! We debuted #makejoyfulnoize at the @westernartsalliance conference. Then we headed to San Diego for shows @artpoweratucsd and at #preussschoolucsd. The venues and audiences were incredible. @artpoweratucsd was especially spectacular. We can’t wait to get back. Special thanks to @gailboydmgmt @kk24seven @rhythm_of_the_arts. Shout out to our band of brothers: @baesef_lateef @unklenephew @nolannwachukwu. We could have done it without you. Look out for us coming to a city near you. #soulsciencelab #makejoyfulnoize #hiphop #chenlo #asanteamin taken in UCSD - University of California San Diego by @soulsciencelab
