MEET OUR STAFF | PRESIDENT & PROGRAM DIRECTOR

I’m Coach Lou, President & Program Director of Southgate Hoops.

As a parent and lifelong basketball fan, I started Southgate Hoops because I saw a gap in our community. My son loves the game, and I realized that many local kids who share that same passion didn’t have access to structured basketball programs close to home.

In larger cities, youth have many opportunities to play, develop skills, and compete. Here in our community, those opportunities were limited. Southgate Hoops was created to change that.

Our goal is simple: provide local youth with a positive environment where they can learn the game, build confidence, develop life skills, make friends, and grow both on and off the court.

What started as an idea has grown into a community of dedicated players, families, volunteers, and supporters who believe every child deserves the opportunity to participate, improve, and belong.

Thank you for being part of this journey as we continue to build something special for the youth of Southgate and surrounding communities.
