✨ South Stack Studios is built on a simple belief: South Asian stories are vast, vibrant, textured, and limitless — and they deserve global stages that reflect their full depth. Our mission has always been to champion creators who expand narratives, and illuminate the lived realities of our communities in all their beauty and complexity.

That’s why we are thrilled to support "Hanging By a Wire", officially selected in the Competition category at Sundance 2026. 🎉

This film embodies everything we stand for: bold vision, courageous storytelling, and an unfiltered look at the human experience. It is raw, cinematic, deeply rooted in place — and at the same time, universally resonant. It reminds us that South Asian stories are not confined to one lane, one genre, or one familiar idea.
Excited to go on this journey with the powerhouses @mo_naqvi and @reallyreallybilalsami together with many other acclaimed collaborators.

At times you have to "Break the Code" and charter your own path!

@kanwal_rekhi - a tech pioneer and entrepreneur, and co-founder of TiE, wrote his own journey and helped shape the global tech and startup ecosystem.

At South Stack Studios we are proud to bring the documentary "Breaking the Code", @breakingthecodefilm as Executive Producer.
Proud to champion stories that inspire, challenge perspectives, and spotlight the people who shape our world.

Through Kanwal’s story, the film explores the power of ambition, resilience, and breaking barriers to build something bigger than yourself.

Our team hosted this special screening and panel discussion with Kanwal and director @ben_rekhi in NYC.

Thank you everyone who joined us in New York to celebrate this remarkable story! ❤️

🎬 "No one changes an industry by just being agreeable."

Those are the words of our co-founder @shalinigovilpai - VP & GM of TV Platforms at Google - just named to @variety 's 2026 Women's Impact Report.

And they hit differently when you know her story.

IIT Bombay → Pixar → YouTube → Google TV

She helped build Toy Story. She scaled YouTube's creator ecosystem to 1 billion monthly active users. She is now integrating Gemini AI into how a billion people experience television.

Not by seeking consensus. By having convictions.

At @southstackstudios Studios, we celebrate this recognition deeply because Shalini embodies exactly what our nonprofit was built around - South Asian women who don't wait for the industry to make room.

They reshape it.

The next generation of South Asian creators - filmmakers, writers, technologists and storytellers deserve that same infrastructure of conviction, community, and capital behind them.

That is our mission. And moments like this remind us why it matters.

Congratulations @shalinigovilpai 🎉🔥 You make our community proud. by @southstackstudios
