I am so overwhelmed and grateful to say that am a recipient of the Winston Churchill Fellowship for 2025.

This fellowship will see me overseas next year, investigating existing models of independent live music scenes to foster more resilient scenes back home.

I’m so excited to experience DIY and all ages elsewhere, informing better gigs and community efforts. With more venues and festivals closing and cancelled at every level of support across Australia, approaching this issue requires a global perspective.

I will be expanding the Setlist as a resource, sharing as much as I can from my travels, so stay tuned so we can all do our part to keep the intersection of community and live music alive and well.

I love live music

Ruckus! feb_21.02.26

I am overwhelmed but simultaneously not surprised by how incredible this night was. So much support expressed for local musicians and visual artists alike, and for the overarching power of alternative music and the values that encapsulates; diversity, accessibility, authenticity and safety. Rocking up is enough to see these events happen, but you all additionally TURN the fuck up. This demand is noticed, your voices are heard, and I hope the passion, love and energy from this room is felt as a ripple effect through the community and councils.

I had big dreams that you made reality. I will forever have big dreams so thank you for following this journey, and I’m so excited to see what’s to come.

here are some moments from where my trip started back in march: austin, TX. it was awesome and i miss it a lot.

super proud of myself and i think everyone can benefit from adapting a DIY framework into everything they do and live and breath and such.
