My @theoryskateshop “Over It” part is 20 years old this year. Skateboarding shaped my life and completely informed the trajectory of my career and I’m forever grateful for the lessons it taught me. Now, at 42 years old I’m going to the skatepark almost daily with Oskar, my 7 year old, and Ingrid, who is 5 (more into scooters and monkey bars right now) watching them find the same feeling that I got from skateboarding, seeing the frustration and the joy that comes from trying something over and over again and finally landing it.

Also! I am still skating (less ollieing though) and having as much fun as ever doing it. Thanks to @tobias_parkhurst @phyk_one and @christian__perkins for filming all this stuff. Friends section from the @theoryskateshop “Four Seasons” video (2002). I was around 18 here. 1. The most stairs I ever ollied, snapped off the tail. I don’t remember if I actually landed it. Also it was really scary with the roof and then landing straight into the doors. 2. Big @osirisshoes sticker on that board. Also wish I could still do kickflip front nose. 3. New Haven 4. Artsy front board. 5. No skin on my arm after that one. We got married 15 years ago today—April 30, 2010—at @freemansrestaurant on the Lower East Side, surrounded by our closest friends and family. It was the best day of my life. We were so young. We had no idea what was ahead—no clue that 15 years later we’d be raising a 3- and 6-year-old together. We didn’t know the highs and lows life would throw at us. But here we are in 2025. YOUTH. Found some random old clips digging in my hard drive this week. I think these are between 2004-2007. I don’t even remember where some of these spots are anymore, or how I got there. It’s fun to look at this stuff and realize how important skateboarding was to me, especially now that my son, Oskar, is 6 and starting to skate almost every day. I wish I could still do 360 flips while going fast, it’s the best feeling. 2025 project. by @spaceagency
