Last year in October 2025, Souvenir premiered as part of the Iris Prize Official selection. ✨🦀 As queer filmmakers it is such a special honour to be received by such an esteemed LGBTQIA+ festival! We are seriously overdue to celebrate this achievement and share our belated love for this gorgeous festival! 🌸💖❤️🧡🤍

We are also honoured to have been able to take part with such esteemed fellow Aussie LGBTQIA+ filmmakers like legends @leelavargoose @kylieaoibheann @lilsdrummond 💅💕

A massive congratulations to the @irisprize 2025 winner Alexander Farah with their short film @one_day_this_kid_film and a special shout out to fellow Aussie Lily Drummond with their short @withlovelottiefilm winning the Youth Jury Award!

We are so stoked to announce that Souvenir will be having its official Australian Premiere at @sydfilmfest 🦀✨🐨

In 2019, 7 years ago, we filmed an early proof of concept in Sydney for what would become Souvenir, with a demure crew of 5. We pitched that around, and got close to securing funding in 2022 with it but no visible success. With no foreseeable prospects, we were ready to park the project when the @screennsw Short to Feature initiative popped up and we decided to give that a go in 2023. The application process was a 3 month period with 2 stages of hoops that we had to jump through, but the day finally arrived when they notified us that we had scored the $75,000 funding and we were going to make the film (and develop the feature version)!!!

This is a truly Sydney centric production, and most of our cast and crew are from this very city so we cannot WAIT to finally bring this film back to our local hometown.

Souvenir will be playing alongside the tender, queer coming of age feature film “Mouse” directed by @kellyooonooo & @alexthompson416

Tickets are available now! Session times below:
8/6 - 2pm at Event Cinemas George Street
13/6 - 2pm at the Ritz Randwick
