Its been great getting to build a community and meet so many Limerick artists across all disciplines meeting and sharing their practice.

The next Artists’ Meet-Up, taking place on the 8th of October 6:00- 7:30pm at the GAFF (V94 FHH1) Thank you to everyone who attended the September meet up, it was great to see everyone after the summer break and to get to meet some new faces.

This meet-up will have relaxed small-group conversation where artists from all art forms can connect, share their work, and meet other Limerick based artists in a welcoming environment.
To finish the evening, there will be some time for everyone to highlight any upcoming opportunities, events or creative thoughts with the full group.

If you would like to be part of the artist meet-up community and mailing list, please email your name and art practice to spacecraftlimerick@gmail.com, if you have already signed up you don’t need to sign up again. Looking forward to seeing you all again.

Money, Shame & The Arts

This is a frank and practical workshop

How do we think about & manage money as artists in Ireland in 2026/7

both personally and professionally (if there’s a difference)

you will be asked about what you earn, what you charge, where you learned/didn’t learn to budget, how you split bills with friends and lovers

Viva will share some of their personal approaches informed by years of teaching maths and facilitating people through things they are scared to do.

Viva Dean is an artist, facilitator and researcher at Queen’s University Belfast investigating gendered relationships to technology and sound.
They have been a full-time, funded artist for the last 4 consecutive years,
They are experienced with managing large project budgets, tax reporting, contracting other artists for work... and they taught maths for 6 years

This workshop is being hosted by Spacecraft studios as part of our professional development program, that has been funded by the arts council of Ireland. Thank you to Limerick print makers for allowing us to host this workshop in there space. Image by @juliemcloughlin by @spacecraft.limerick

Spacecraft will be attending the @visualartistsireland Get Together tomorrow!
We’ll have a table at ‘The Café Tables’, alongside some other brilliant arts organisations.

We’re delighted to announce the annual spacecraft members show will be launching next Friday the 18th, as part of @culturenight . The exhibition will take place at @studiosaol , opening from 6-9pm, the exhibition will also run Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th from 11-5pm

The show will feature paintings, sculpture, installation, printmaking and mixed-media work. The members who will be showcased are; Laura O’Loughlin, Angela Vaughan, Caoilfhinn Geary, Sibéal Riordan, Theo Hynan-Ratcliffe, Johnny McMahon, Carey Long, Hazel Gardner & Eilis Fanning

✨ Zine Fest this weekend✨

We’re delighted to be launching our new spacecraft zine about the space and the members at @limerickzinefest

The zine was created by our placement print-making student Katie Clery @oxxident as part of our placement program this spring.

Thank you to our studio member Theo Hynan-Ratcliffe, who ran our placement program and helped make this project possible, and a massive thank you to our placement student Katie for turning her time with us into something we can hold onto.
