Surprise! Today is the release of a fabulous new 3-song EP from SPARKLE DIVISION – the collaborative trio of William Basinski, Preston Wendel, and Gary Thomas Wright! Last year they unleashed FOXY, this century’s finest album inspired by late-60s Hollywood hedonism and LSD-drenched debauchery. Now they are back with a spicy chaser in the form of Jupiter Lounge! Soaked in electronic jazz-funk and warped disco, Jupiter Lounge is the perfect next piece in the eclectic evolution of SPARKLE DIVISION. Sashay to the link in bio and grab this soundtrack to whatever hot mess you’re fixin’ to find yourself in this weekend! 🥂 taken in Jupiter by @sparkle_division

William Basinski?! Shania Taint?! Gary Wright?! “Oh Yeah!” it’s the new single from SPARKLE DIVISION!!

Shania Taint on "Oh Yeah!"
“Oh Yeah!" is a hyperdrive drum and bass journey born out of the excitement from collaborating with family and close friends. In particular Max Kaplan, whose saxophone leads send the track into outer space, and Craig Varian, who sent us a sick drum break which ignited the fire for the track to be made. Hold on to your butts and get ready to rip thru time and space on this rocket! Oh yeah!!! - Shania Taint

William Basinski on "Oh Yeah!" video:
Oopsie... sorry y'all, but how can you go wrong with all of the Supermodels of the World in sickneen 90's Thierry Mugler fierciocity??? talk about FOXY! Hellew! Gag on the Glamah!!!

See the glamah and pre-order FOXY on CD, LP, Digital, and Limited Edition Opaque Red Colored Vinyl! 🤩 by @sparkle_division

Yesterday we unveiled the title track from SPARKLE DIVISION’s forthcoming new album, FOXY (in stores October 20)!

Here is an impromptu video of William Basinski with friends, Evelina Domnitch and Dmitry Gelfand, serving fierce elevator runway. Domnitch and Gelfand previously collaborated with Basinski when they commissioned a suite of works that ultimately became the album, On Time Out Of Time, which utilized recordings that captured the sounds of two distant massive black holes merging 1.3 billion years ago.

The video was shot on location in Italy’s Electropark Festival in 2019 and edited by Gary Thomas Wright. Sashay up top to the link in bio! taken in Electropark Festival by @sparkle_division

Our new EP, CLASSIFIED is out now via @tempresltd ! 3 dirty disco dusters to dive you into your weekend like 💦
Link in bio 💋
.
.
.
““Beehive Switchblade” – recorded after the release of last year’s To Feel Embraced – is a lounge-house banger that highlights Basinski’s free-flowing sax performance. Meanwhile, “Booty Buster” and “Studio 54” – the first two tracks ever made by SPARKLE DIVISION – are a pair of blown-out lost disco classics that recall the distant days of hot summer nights in late 1970s Times Square.”
