My husband and the soon to be girl dad (hence the pink bounce house) wanted to have some fun so they hopped in the bounce house laughing, carefree, joyful…and in that moment, I saw my husband differently. I saw the boy in him and it blessed me so much just to see and hear the laughter! 🥹

I then began to think about the man who carries so much, who works hard, who fights for our family, who quietly battles life pressures. And it made me stop and ask myself this very important question that all wives should ask themselves…

Do I make enough room for THIS version of my husband?

Because somewhere between marriage, kids, responsibilities, exhaustion, homeschool, expectations, and the weight of life it can become so easy to get caught up in our needs, the challenges in our days, the mental load we had to battle.

This post is OPPOSITE of those posts who call their husbands to complain about everythinggggg while they are on their way home from work. Truth is, our husband needs room to breathe too. What if we stopped asking, “Am I being helped?” and started asking, “Am I helping him?” “Am I bringing him peace?” “Am I cultivating joy in my home?”

I will not be the wife constantly unloading pressure, negativity, complaints, or unmet expectations on him. I will be lifting him up. Our home will feel like relief to him. He will feel seen and I want to protect the joy in the man whom God entrusted to me ❤️

Here are 3 things I’d encourage you to do TODAY to cultivate more joy in your marriage:

1. Speak with warmth before addressing any concerns
Not pretending hard things don’t exist but timing matters. Let your first words feel like connection, not pressure.

2. Speak life over the man he already is
Men carry more than they say. Honor what he’s doing right. Tell him what you admire. Speak to the leader, protector, and King in him!

3. Make room for joy on purpose
Laugh, be playful, give him room to be silly with the kids. Protect moments where he doesn’t have to carry everything.

(FOLLOW + SAVE) Our daughter bringing the fire again 🔥 There is no junior Holy Spirit, WE are to have child like faith.

To us hearing our children preach, pray, worship, and talk about Jesus all the time is normal. This didn’t just happen.

This was first being obedient as her parents going when God says go
Planted in a holy ghost fire church learning under the anointing
This was years of speaking life
Scripture spoken and mediated on throughout our days
Lots and lots of heart to heart conversations
Daily practice of taking our thoughts captive and replacing them with God’s thoughts
We’ve been extremely intentional to correct behavior while speaking their identity in Christ over them
We do not address them according to the works of their flesh but we speak to their spirit
We’ve made it a priority to live our faith boldly everyday

The fruit you’re seeing in this video started as seeds 🌱

the proof is in the pudding! very accurate 🤭😆 “I speak in tongues when I am hurting” she said 😭 she has seen me fervently contend for my physical healing (her right by my side standing and speaking in faith with me which y’all see her carry that 🔥 in her videos today)!! And I am here to report I AM HEALED! THANK YOU JESUS the pain is gone! God’s Word works! Jehovah Rapha! You can pray, fast, worship, declare and decree…and you SHOULD…but if you are not renewing your mind EVERY SINGLE DAY, you are going to keep cycling through the same patterns your family did. The thoughts they didn’t catch will try and catch you. Same devil no new tricks.

The curse doesn’t just live in your family tree. It lives in your thought life. It lives in the way your flesh wants to react towards your husband when you’re frustrated. It lives in the words you speak over your kids when you’re overwhelmed. It lives in the thoughts you agree with about yourself when you’re exhausted.

You don’t break a generational curse by just praying about it. You break it by taking authority over the toxic thoughts that want to bind you.

Renewing my mind daily has transformed my life, my confidence, my marriage, and is now allowing me to raise a NEW generation of children on fire for Jesus 🔥

A lot of people genuinely do not know how to renew their minds especially with all that a day can bring. Comment RESET and I’ll send you the exact framework the Holy Spirit taught me to confidently break the cycle. by @speakthevictory

CUT 🎬 here’s to finally putting myself out there 🤪…3 things that came to mind immediately while making this video:

1. First of all, my daughter is 7 and straight up starts preaching to the phone like a pro (so I know it’s in me somewhere) LOL

2. I was the girl who constantly got in trouble or my seat got moved in school for TALKING to everyone and now this millennial has somehow forgotten how to communicate with others 🤣🤣

3. I hope this makes you feel seen, even laugh a little, and that much more encouraged to post about whatever is on your heart!
