On Wednesday night, Pi Kappa Phi paired with Special Olympics at Purdue for a Unified Sports event on the intramural fields on campus.

More than 25 fraternity members joined members of the Special Olympics student group to host a dozen clients for flag football, bags, as well as tossing a football and a Frisbee for more than an hour.

It was the first 10 such events scheduled this semester whereby the fraternity engages people with disabilities from the Lafayette community. The chapter also supports the national fraternity’s outreach project, The Ability Experience, raising funds and awareness for people with disabilities locally and nationally. taken in Purdue University by @specialolympicspurdue

NIRSA 2026
9 athletes and 7 partners equals one perfect family. Some of our SOCaP athletes and partners spent last weekend in Madison Wisconsin to compete in the unified intramural championships. Family and Friends,
We are so excited to announce that we will be attending the NIRSA national basketball tournament at the University of Wisconsin-Madison on April 17th-19th!

This trip will consist of 9 of our Special Olympic Tippecanoe athletes and 8 Purdue Students. They will compete in a highly competitive field against other college-unified programs.

This will be our third NIRSA tournament as we attended Wisconsin in April of 2025 and Oklahoma in December of 2023. These trips are special to all of our athletes and partners and have become experiences like no other!

To make this experience possible we need your help and support; nothing is too small. With this trip, we are looking forward to being able to bring even more athletes and partners to compete in the future, but this means we need more financial resources to do so.

If at all possible, consider donating to help us create lifetime memories for our athletes. These athletes have been putting in hours of hard work to compete at the highest level possible.
