10 days. 2 completely different worlds. ✈️🏆🌴

Before we landed in Costa Rica for an executive mindset retreat, we were in Atlanta at an M&A conference where we were honored with an award. Late nights, and heavy lifting across our businesses has its perks...

Going straight from the high-stakes world of deal-making into deep internal reflection (and ziplining through jungles 😅) was intense. But looking back on the entire trip, my biggest takeaway wasn't the trophy or the views—it was the PEOPLE.

✨ The leaders in Atlanta who bring strategic thinking.

✨ The incredible souls in Costa Rica who created space for deep internal growth.

✨ The late-night conversations that reminded us why we chose this path and growth route in the first place.

You can build great systems and win awards, but the humans you surround yourself with will always determine your growth ceiling.

Recharged, aligned, and so grateful for the community in our corner. 🌿❤️

PASTA FOR THE PEOPLE, SHAKING HANDS. SERVING PASTA Shana is out there shaking hands, kissing babies, petting dogs, feeding people Sunday Supper all over Whole Foods SoPac… and apparently doing a little dancing while she’s at it. 🇮🇹💃🍝

Social media makes working with your spouse look like aesthetic coffee shop dates and non-stop teamwork. ☕️✨

The reality?

✈️ Flight delays and working from airport gates.

🚶‍♀️ Walking 15,000 steps across tradeshow floors together.

📸 Snapping candid photos of each other (usually intensely focused on work).

🛌 Collapse-level exhaustion on the bed at the end of a long travel day.

But here’s the real secret to making it work: We are still two completely separate people.

We don't share every single minute. We keep our own distinct morning routines to get our heads right, we schedule check-in meetings instead of talking shop 24/7, and we protect our individual identities outside the business.

Working together isn't about becoming the same person—it’s about knowing when to step in when the other is overwhelmed, and knowing when to switch off "boss mode" and just be husband and wife.

It’s intense, but there’s no one else I’d rather navigate this crazy ride with.

Denver, you were good to us.

Sunday Supper had an incredible few days at @newtopianow — meeting new retailers, connecting with fellow founders, seeing old friends, and having the kinds of conversations that make us even more excited about what we’re building.

We came home energized, ambitious, and very ready for what’s next.

48 hours before boarding the plane to PR, we almost called off the whole thing. 😅

We decided to take this trip a few weeks ago, but as the date crept up, life got heavy. Running multiple businesses means the to-do list never ends, and staying home in our familiar routine felt so much easier with our current momentum. We were so in our heads about it that we didn't even book our hotel or rental car until the day we actually traveled. 🚗✈️

It was chaotic, but comfort zones feel safe right up until they start keeping you small.

We forced ourselves to pack and get on the plane anyway. And even though it was a whirlwind of all day travel (both ways), back-to-back sessions, late-night dinners, and non-stop computer work and networking, pushing past that friction gave us three things staying home never could:

✨ A Fresh Perspective: Shifting our environment broke us out of autopilot and forced us to look at both our big-picture and most immediate goals.

✨ Expanding Our Circle: Connecting with incredible, high-caliber people who expanded our vision of what’s possible (swipe to see some of our favorite humans from the trip!).

✨ A Complete Mental Pivot: It wasn't a relaxing spa trip by any means, but stepping away from the daily grind completely recharged our drive and focus.

Sometimes the growth isn't in taking a quiet vacation—it's in breaking your routine, embracing a little chaos, and showing up anyway. 🌊🌴
