~ ThIs Is My FiGhT sOnG ~

(Hesitant to post this because, well, I always want everyone to like me and not everyone will like this. But from the moment JD Vance’s Cabbage Patch ass brought “miserable cat lady” discourse back into the zeitgeist like some hack open mic comic from the 80s, I’ve had something to get off my chest. I hope my fellow DINKs, cat ladies, dog ladies, AND my beloved parent friends, who I do love and respect with all my heart, can find something to teehee at ❤️) by @speradactyl

Your favorite witchy women are back! And, no, we are not talking about Practical Magic 2 (although maybe we are also sort of talking about that?).

Warm Bodies returns Oct 1 with a night of vaguely Halloween-themed readings (remember: a poem about global warming can be sPoOkYyY👻 an essay about your family can be sCaRrRyYy ⛓️) + some free tarot readings for some lucky souls.

See you in the haunted houses of OUR MINDS**💀Evil witch laughter commences💀

Last week, we said no weapon formed against us (poor air quality, a heatwave, diarrhea lettuce) shall prosper and managed to live to see 2 years of Warm Bodies!

The vibes were immaculate due to a winning combo of talented readers, a supremely physically/spiritually attractive crowd and cake. If you were there (or at any of our previous events), THANK YOU WE LOVE YOU.

Our July performers gave us poetry, fiction and sketch comedy covering topics including but not limited to: AI, overweight cats, Annie Wilkes, toxic MFA programs, Jimmy Carter’s UFO sighting, canoes, the virtues of paper straws and cheerleaders with yeast infections.

am I dump guy now????

(May 2026: my return to sketch comedy after a long hiatus (there were hecklers), my return to a certain trendy pizza place after a long hiatus (there were influencers), many meals, many drinks, one thirst trap for the girlypops, Bialy shed her winter coat, Ian got a colonoscopy and played the piano, Nora turned 1 and I read a good book and finally met Gene the cat/loverboy.) by @speradactyl

Thank you to everyone who joined us last week in the back room at @wildeastbrewing! If you were there, you were a 🔥Warm Body🔥 and that is the titular role, so we quite literally couldn’t do it without you!

Our May performers helped us usher in springtime with poems, songs, stories, scenes and sketch comedy that covered topics including but not limited to: spoons, the joys of polyamory, the woes of polyamory, cancer, brothers, fathers, Ginuwine and Peter Pan.

Buds are blooming, birds are chirping and the frozen dog poop has ALMOST completely disappeared from Brooklyn sidewalks. Spring has sprung! 🌼

And with it comes our next Warm Bodies, complete with a fresh lineup designed to thaw your cold heart/heal your Cinco de Mayo hangover.

See you May 7 at @wildeastbrewing, chicks! 🐣 by @speradactyl

Last week, we hosted our first ever 💕lightly💕 Valentine’s Day-themed Warm Bodies and got ourselves all in the mood 💋 (tho the mood for what it is hard to say…)

🌝 Earlier this month, we got together to dance naked under the full moon* (*read poems and essays) at our October Warm Bodies.

🐔 There were tarot readings and, most notably, a lost chicken (final slide) who has since found a home in the country and will be living the good life thanks to our reader Sophia.

🧛🏻‍♀️ We had a spooky lineup of readers who covered topics including but not limited to: murder, getting the ick, ectoplasm, covens, women’s colleges, covens at women’s colleges, Dracula, hexes, and hell.
