Day 1, mostly breaking trail and walking with a few turns thrown in for good measure. Probably a bit aggressive for the first day🤪 Bad visibility, a mid-day rimming event, massive skin glop and 18 inches of snow on rocks made it a bit more spicy 😂😂 Still fun and stoked for more🤘 #backcountryskiing #notalta #solocholo #pingpongball by @spindrift65

#tbt Think we’ll ever get to ski in the foothills again? It was never anything rad but it was so fun to ski in the foothills back in the day, walking out the front door with skis on was such a treat, and skiing down to the house was even better. Some of these places you can’t even go to now because of overdevelopment. I’ve skied at least once a season behind my house for the last 30 plus years except for the last 2 because of a rising snow line and less precipitation. Hoping it’s just a few bad years but in reality I know it’s from a changing climate. But either way i still got some hope for some backyard turns🤘#backcountryskiing #beenaroundawhile😂 by @spindrift65
