The world lost a light and a talent it will probably never see again, but here’s hoping. RIP 🦋

I messed around and posted a new song I just wrote this afternoon instead of one of the voice memos that I Intended to. Tomorrow, as they say, is another day snark and all. Also, shout out to one of my favorite artists @lights I never met an AI I liked either… 🤘🏼 taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @spinlightorchestra

“Talk about
everything you left out
when you were gone
say a loud
is it truth or is it doubt
your shadow at dawn

So make your way down the fire escape if you want to
just don’t go slow
every day is just a time and a place to to survive you
don’t you know
I terrorize my mind
at night I’m pretending to sleep when you haunt me
your love it haunts me
the lonely ghost”

So let’s all get high at an all time low
And it’s all fucked up but they’d never know
because we just dance…

If someone needs this like I did once or twice, I hope it helps. Just keep going… ✌🏼🤘🏼

“because every fairytale
hasn’t come true
the colors of your life
different shades of blue
now you’re lying on the floor
walking through hell
high as a kite
under a waking spell
circling every little fail
circling every little fail
circling…

So take off those torn and soleless shoes
stay a while longer in this room
I can tell you’re only thinking you were born to lose
and I don’t believe in me
but I believe in you
I believe in you”

I went a little less introspective on this one and a little more observational storytelling on this here Kitchen Demo. You could say I channeled my inner @taylorswift folklore era. It’s called ‘Boxing The Night’

Written in 10 minutes, recorded in one take. A little lit and a little fed up with the state of things, much like you should be with your congress people and representatives if you feel like I do. This isn’t America… ✊🏼🇺🇸
