It’s CMA fest here in Nashville and I wouldn’t dare leave the house. I would dare to pick up a guitar and write something a little twangy though. Yee fucking Haw. 🤠🤘🏼🖕🏼

This is probably my favorite song I’ve ever written. Healing from music and just getting better and better at your craft because of it is such a wild concept. ✌🏼🤘🏼 #newmusic #spinlightorchestra #fade #singersongwriter

I wrote this like 10 minutes ago. It’s tenderly and tentatively called ‘Waiting on a Train.’ Here’s a late night kitchen demo about it.

I’ll probably post this on main tomorrow or next week because it will most likely be a @spinlightorchestra song, but I was out looking up at the sky feeling some type of way and came back downstairs and wrote this. So here’s something I wrote 20 mins ago. ✌🏼🤘🏼

It’s the eve of an insignificant number of birthdays in my 30s and it’s my second one thus far in Nashville. What’s is significant is that I starting writing this after I woke this morning and continued writing through the making of this little kitchen demo. If 38 sounds like this, I’m cool with it. 🤘🏼✌🏼🖕🏼 #SLOsounds #Shhh

“if you’ll let me
I’ll tell this side of the story
and forgive me
if I tend to get a bit boring

But it’s true
the best words always came from you
And it’s true
I’d still walk outside of you

Once upon a night
I lost my fucking mind
when I met you
Once upon a night
I lost my fucking mind
to forget you
So move around some letters
on this scattered ransom note
Trying to put the clues together
but the case has already broke
Once upon a night
it’s all inside my mind again
…shhh”

As “the girls fight” for all of the world to see, the Trump Gestapo is raiding Los Angeles, raided Nashville, and more and worse. This is not the America I stood up every day in school and pledged allegiance to “with liberty and justice for all.” This is not the America part of my family fled to for salvation from Hitler’s war. This is not the America that was revered and scribed on the great gift that was the Statue of Liberty with “give me your tired your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” This is not the America that stood together on 9/12/01. This is not the America I’ve seen in my travels from sea to shining sea.

The America I know stands up for the marginalized domestically and abroad, the war torn, the oppressed… I don’t know what the fuck America this is or who these fucking jerk offs think they are while they have a little social media war while putting boots on necks, but they can go fuck as well as anyone who voted and still endorses this shit.

One Song, One take, as our collective hearts break.

No Kings. No Nazis. Not now, not ever.

This is probably the most self reflective song I have ever written. It is actually a full song but I can’t even get through the damn thing without breaking down and vamped the last bits of it just to end it, so here’s the Kitchen Demo brief version. I just want you all to know, we have lived many lives, been many people, and have been a life and a person to other people… But at the end of the day when the person and/or life with golden hair and diamond smiles isn’t the one, it’s cool to cry about it.

I am probably going to redo this a thousand times before it gets posted on main, but I’m currently just in love with this little thing I wrote yesterday and was uniquely inspired by this little city called Nashville and supportive love/partnerships. Clearly, since this is the first thing I did when I woke up this morning. Also, Go Birds 🦅

Hi. Happy Saturday. I am sure everyone is working or out having a good time at this point, but I was messing around with some songwriting/recording today and saw some news about yet another hurricane possibly hitting FL, so it inspired me to write this. This one is for you, St Pete and yes you too South Tampa, my adopted cities. Cities I can always call home. It’s called Thunderbird after my favorite hotel on TI across from some of what are and what used to be my favorite places to hang. You’ve been through a lot friends, we’ve been through a lot together for many of years. Hopefully this song does the finer parts of Tampa Bay some justice. 🤘🏼✌🏼🌴☀️

Yeah, naturally there’s another song. There’s a lot to be exact, but we’ll just keep it at these two between us friends here. All I can say is whatever connection I gained to other threads of the universe lately has been interesting, in a not entirely unpleasant manner. I appreciate any and all support on this thing. ✌🏼🤘🏼

I’m posting this on main tomorrow, but I wanted to post it here first. This is a bit different for @spinlightorchestra. Moving to Nashville has shifted the universe on me, even shifted my voice. I’m not sure if it’s the city itself, the last year of my life, or the glasses, but a lot of the songs lately are coming out similar to this in varying tones, but I’m not mad at it.

Side note: It’s probably the glasses.
