Wowwwww - coming off the back of an absolutely incredible weekend at @fitf_wales where we had the pleasure of taking over the Sett stage on Saturday. The music from @sophieered_dj , @megpaine , @interstellar.beats and @_______marcelina built up a real vibe throughout the day and it was an honour to close out the stage for the weekend.

You could see how much effort had gone into the stage design and the sound systems from @bosunsound @marksaudiosolutionsltd and @bassfreight were top. It felt like all the people were there to have a good time and the energy on the dance floors was always high 🌀

Feeling extremely grateful for the experience, definitely the most fun we’ve had playing together as a trio! Huge congratulations to the festival organisers, sound system crews and artists for making it such a special weekend!

Looking forward to the next edition!! :)) 🧡 taken in Funk in the Forest by @spinswivel

🌀 Swivel Selects 🌀

An autumnal commute back from the city took me to Dalston hotspot @nextdoorrecords_ on Tuesday. This new venue has been attracting people left, right, and centre since opening a few months back and has become a household name to all the local music heads. They’ve been supporting the scene and hosting a range of local artists, crafting a sick space to discover new sounds.

This week’s select is an old find on @casavoyager from @convergence_rec boss @kosh_212. You could choose any of the tracks from this EP but the energy on the electro edit just carries such a solid groove. Kosh tracks always move a dance floor so it’s good to finally have one in the bag.

🌀Swivel Selects🌀

A trip to East Sussex this weekend ended up bringing about something quite magic - a nostalgic dig, a new friend and (very excitingly) a new development in our swivel selects series.

Wandering the streets of Rye I stumbled across @rye_the_other_record_shop, hidden amongst the cobbled streets. While browsing, I was surprised to find a track my brother @wyndhamelliot showed me many moons ago. It was one I’d returned to over the years and seeing it there and then made me want to kick start this video series.

Back when I first listened to this, I was in and out of record stores all the time, much more than I am now. Listening in Rye, I realised how much I had missed that, and connecting with the people and the music. Shout out to store owner @frankandal who sniffed out the Lonnie Liston Smith vibe of this track within seconds of us giving this a spin.

And so came the inspiration behind this new version of selects – getting out there, experiencing and sharing music with people who love it. Keep an eye out over the next few months as I’ll be going to new record stores for more digs, and more journeys 👀

Coming in for the second instalment of our mixtape series we have Spin @spinswivel - youngest brother and co-founder of Swivel. Curated in this mix is a diverse selection from Spin's collection, with the latter half providing a crescendo of dancefloor-inspired thumpers.

Clear Your Mind.
