Declan Ruadh - Floresta
[SWIV001]

We welcome the debut release from @declanruadh, middle brother and co-founder of Swivel. This track was inspired by the swampy electro-infused sounds heard in the early hours at @wakinglife.pt last year.

Floresta is available for purchase now and you can pre-order the full EP digitally and vinylally through our Bandcamp.

Hello! Thought it would be a good idea to write a little introduction post! We’re three brothers from the UK who have come together to create a space for sharing the music we love.

As well as this we also have a couple of other projects in the works for swivel. First up from the family is @wyndhamelliot with the opening edition of our mixtape series. Then following soon after will be our debut EP from middle brother @declanruadh.

Looking forward to sharing these with you 🙂 Record Label Music House Techno by @swivelrecords

Wowwwww - coming off the back of an absolutely incredible weekend at @fitf_wales where we had the pleasure of taking over the Sett stage on Saturday. The music from @sophieered_dj , @megpaine , @interstellar.beats and @_______marcelina built up a real vibe throughout the day and it was an honour to close out the stage for the weekend.

You could see how much effort had gone into the stage design and the sound systems from @bosunsound @marksaudiosolutionsltd and @bassfreight were top. It felt like all the people were there to have a good time and the energy on the dance floors was always high 🌀

Feeling extremely grateful for the experience, definitely the most fun we’ve had playing together as a trio! Huge congratulations to the festival organisers, sound system crews and artists for making it such a special weekend!

Looking forward to the next edition!! :)) 🧡 taken in Funk in the Forest by @swivelrecords

Coming up in the latest edition of our swivel mixtape series we’re excited to present an hour of dub enthused delight from our good friend Jeeves @tomstergram . A well versed digger, and regular dancefloor compatriot, bringing us on a journey through his collection into the deep and proggy.

As the late evenings take full swing, and those long awaited festival moments start filtering in, this dubby progression of sound feels like it brings you right where you need to be.

Head to toe fluidity.

a liminal dawn

night loosens its grip
light leaks through the mist
bodies soften, ears open
time stretches

between the last inhale of dark
and the first breath of morning
we remember why we came
to search, to feel
to recognise ourselves
in each other

familiar frequencies
return like old friends
new ones spark curiosity
pulling us forward
a collective moment of being
suspended in dust •

this, the quiet fire of shared experience
a body made of bodies
waking up
