Aruba 9/19/26-9/22/26

Montreal 9/14/26-9/18/26
Buddies' first duo getaway in 7+ years together!

This city has it all in a very digestible way, every option and choice we made led to the perfect adventure. This is just a little sampling:
1. When the 12 hour train ride brought the city into view
2. Sculpture of a bird feeding from a victrola on our walk to the subway every morning.
3. The subway map! So small we did multiple lines from beginning to end. But where's the 3?
4. City buddies
5. Mont Royal art gallery, there are 2 outposts of this and the second one has work studios you can enter and check out street artists in progress.
6. Architectural pic.
7. Downtown Montreal, we found a hoop and ball, and I'm laughing after he makes the shit because it looked so far away (it was realistically a long 2).
8. Jean Talon Market with the best looking fruits.
9. Mont Royal again I believe.
10. Gotta try their bagels! Flatter than NY but very flavorful and incredible for sandwiches. by @spirar3

The sorrow I feel is profound. Your life was more profound. The night after you left, the sky was full of blue-grays and fog straight out of your paintings and dreams. I know you were up there right back to work painting. The nightmare is over. I will honor you forever. You'll live on in me and those that also love you, in those Bonsai trees pictured here, and in your paintings, but despite my post here you will never be contained to any wretched technology like the laptop. You were always too pure for that crap.

Today I hung "Violins & Guns," your painting inspired by Elijah McClain. You were completely horrified by what some of this world became and so you chose art over violence, confronting both. Over the year you made this I watched it progress. The progress photos are featured on your Instagram @santuoso . I lent you my violin with the blue haired bow and I demonstrated how one might hold it under duress. Looking back, that's the first time I ever figure modelled. That winter I wore this pink puffy coat everywhere. So somehow that's you, me and Elijah there in the middle. All my love to you both.

Please visit in spirit. You made this worid beautiful. I miss you so much my friend.
