As we wrap up another year that seemed to go in a blink, it’s that time to say an another massive THANK YOU to all the legends out there in my world.

Family, friends, our lovely clients, and all the paths crossed throughout the seasons, that makes me feel so lucky to be living & experiencing this crazy, beautiful thing called life.

Very grateful for all the support as always — to the OGs & the new faces about in this little corner of Insta ❤️

We hope everyone out there has had a wonderful Chrissy and enjoying that well deserved break and reset over the NY period — so we can get after 2026!!!

Jacks Retreat might just be one of our favourite ceremony locations to shoot.

Set across grassy fields overlooking Lake Wakatipu, with Cecil Peak and Walter Peak rising across the water and the Remarkables practically in the backyard – it’s hard to find a bad angle here.

Dani & Ollie’s ceremony was intimate and unhurried, led by the wonderful Kirsty Ussher – celebrant, stylist, and coordinator all in one, who curated the ceremony itself to feel completely them.

A roll of 35mm mixed in with Dani & Ollie’s coverage, for a bit of both worlds.

The gold hour on the Remarkables. Confetti of tussock grass. A cute & vintage “Just Married” cake. Champagne popped & sipped at leisure...

And that cheeky double exposure though – lined up perfectly with the mountains for the perfect texture.

Dani & Ollie’s Jacks Point elopement had us absolutely obsessed with their outfits from the first look.

A tuxedo. A corset and skirt. And instead of a veil – a scarf. Practical in that spring Queenstown wind, effortless, cool and very them.

Ceremony at Jack’s Retreat, then a short drive down the road for golden hour portraits in one of our favourite spots. Some days just line up perfectly.

Lucy & Hugh came back on a high from their heli portraits and before entering their reception, they were welcomed back via full-blown dance party in the top terrace of Rippon Vineyard.

Guests hyped them up to their favourite tunes, tambourines & singing rather than going straight into sitting down at tables – definitely a note to take out of these guys books – for the win!

Rippon Hall & Vineyard is one of my favourite Wānaka wedding venues for obvious reasons:

- How any one could look past that lake view from not only the outdoor amphitheater, but the Rippon Hall window itself - iconic once might say..

- Intimate, candle lit dinners in a space that takes receptions to the next level - like Lucy & Hugh’s incredible styling, with their own personal touches on drink menus & coasters with their pup Obie.

-Or maybe you’re dreaming of boogy-ing down to your favourite tunes or a live band as the sun sets, the moon rises over the mountains of Lake Wānaka?

Always an incredible time is had celebrating here.

Same venue.

Two weddings.

Couldn’t have looked more different.

One had a packed amphitheatre, pink woven through every part of the day, a vintage Land Rover waiting outside, and family who’d flown across the world to be there.

The other had forty guests, black tie, wild wind from start to finish, and a ceremony moved inside with a simple green and white palette.

Here’s what they actually had in common.

Both couples walked in with a clear vision. Neither was trying to recreate a wedding they’d seen on Pinterest. They already knew what felt like them.

My role wasn’t to steer them towards a certain style. It was to protect that vision, solve the problems that popped up, and make sure the day looked and felt exactly how they’d imagined it.

A little shout-out to Kate @splendourvisuals , who photographed both of these weddings. I love that even with the same venue and the same photographer, each couple’s personality shines through in completely different ways.
