I know preparing for your bridal trial/preview can be a bit daunting, especially when choosing just one look for your big day!… and especially if you don’t usually wear makeup.

Here are a few things to consider before your trial. And if you have any questions, your makeup artist will always be there to help.

Together, we’ll design a look that makes you feel 100% happy on your wedding day.

#wedding #bridaltrial

Gather inspiration photos. Think about makeup colors, style, and vibe you love.

Key Questions to Consider:

- Decide if you want your eyes or lips to be the focus.
- Do you want a classic brown/gold eye look or did you want something else like a romatic soft pink…
- Choose your intensity, shimmer or matte for the eyes. - For the lips, think about whether you want matte or glossy finish and if you want or like pinkey, peachy, red/berry or brown/nude shades.

Wear white (or a similar color to your dress) for your trial. This ensures you see how the makeup will look with your gown.

Also, style your hair like you plan to on the big day—this gives you a clearer vision of the full look.

Arrive with a clean, moisturized face. Drink plenty of water and keep that hydration up.

How to make your wedding feel more like a festival and not so formal? Have a sail cloth for dining and a tipi for dancing.

Sailcloth are the yin to our tipi yang 🤍✨

Dani & Ollie 🤍
Cool flowers for an even cooler couple.

Love using an oriental lily every now and then - they have a fab shape and feel a bit nostalgic. I’m claiming them back from the supermarket.

Same venue.

Two weddings.

Couldn’t have looked more different.

One had a packed amphitheatre, pink woven through every part of the day, a vintage Land Rover waiting outside, and family who’d flown across the world to be there.

The other had forty guests, black tie, wild wind from start to finish, and a ceremony moved inside with a simple green and white palette.

Here’s what they actually had in common.

Both couples walked in with a clear vision. Neither was trying to recreate a wedding they’d seen on Pinterest. They already knew what felt like them.

My role wasn’t to steer them towards a certain style. It was to protect that vision, solve the problems that popped up, and make sure the day looked and felt exactly how they’d imagined it.

A little shout-out to Kate @splendourvisuals , who photographed both of these weddings. I love that even with the same venue and the same photographer, each couple’s personality shines through in completely different ways.

Secluded, elevated, panoramic lake and high-country views - The View at Glendhu Station really is something special. A dedicated ceremony space planted with a considered horseshoe of natives, sitting right alongside your marquee 〰️ from an intimate clear marquee to a full Sailcloth tent, this site does it all 💌
