Yesterday was overwhelming with every emotion just as it was that Halloween afternoon..

Yesterday I got to walk the stage to accept my Jim Warfield award and stand side by side with some of the most talented actors and actresses in the Chicagoland haunt industry. I have so many words but really don't know how to say them. It still is processing 8 months later honestly.

What I can put into words is how greatful I am for every single person that has guided me to where I am today. I truly couldn't be where I am without those people.

I started as a little 14 year old with nothing to go off of besides the things I've seen in movies. Not even a quick training really. Just a "go get em" attitude and was dropped in a scene. I never expected to receive an award to this caliber.

There are HUNDREDS of actors that have such amazing skill and talent and for me to be awarded this, it really makes me speechless. This makes me look back to see how far along I've come and that truly anything is possible.

So again from the bottom of my heart thank you to every single person that has taught, helped, and inspired me from the beginning to now.

I also want to thank @hauntedhousechicago specifically for not just for the award, but for letting me do one last "big" thing for @oldjoliethauntedprison . Her name is now a stamped piece of history that will always be remembered when being looked back on as the home of a Warfield winner..

Thank you. by @spook.town

Today, we say goodbye to the limestone beauty as The Old Joliet Haunted Prison.

The prison was the place that brought that spark back for me. It pulled me back into the haunt industry after almost fully stepping away. The amount of anger and sadness I am feeling is beyond comprehension. Today closes a door that was not ready to be shut for a VERY long time. There was something special there that I’ve never seen at any other haunted attraction before, and to have her taken away is the biggest punch in the face.

The amount of amazing opportunities I’ve received since joining the prison is beyond imaginable, and those will be forever held near and dear to my heart. I’ve made some amazing friends, had some of the most memorable interactions with patrons, and strengthened bonds even more with those I had known beforehand. The prison was pulling something out of me that I didnt know I had. I don’t think would have happened anywhere else honestly.

I'm not sure where this will take me but let me at least say...

To those who were able to come out and see her in operation: thank you.

To those who worked alongside me: thank you.

To The Old Joliet Haunted Prison: thank you.
