As I’ve gotten older one of the most important things to me is taking the time to enjoy my hobbies and finding friends within them. Our gaming group came together in the most random way - - none of us knew each other but here we are, years later, still playing 😆 we got so damn lucky and that’s not ever lost on me - and it’s crazy to see how our lives have intertwined over the years with our kiddos and SO’s becoming friends, Gray and Tyler turning the hobby into a successful business over at @warped_reality_games , Bryce’s uncanny ability to track down THE funnest games to play - I know it’s often tough finding a group you connect with and that can consistently meet up. I tend to get caught up in the stress of work and the guilt of balancing coworker/wife/mother/friend/business owner life and without a doubt it leaks into my ability to relax and take the time to meet up and game but I am fortunate enough to have friends that patiently welcome me back to the table. Every. Single. Time.

Anyway….. My hope for you is that you’re able to enjoy some solid gaming time with good people this weekend ✨

And eventually I’ll share my thoughts about our experience playing Arcs…… for now all I’m gonna say is it was a crazy, intense absolute shitshow and may possibly be banned from our table for all eternity. Like if it was the last game on the planet…. We wouldn’t play it. We’d just have Gray design something with rocks and sticks and shit and if you know @grays_games you know he’d figure something out and it would be stupid good 😂

Our game of Wingspan was pretty quick - I couldn’t find some of my expansions so we just played the base game. Since moving into our new home I haven’t really found how I want to organize my games yet so they are in chaos throughout my house.

I still to this day enjoy playing this game and introducing it to friends/family! Even when I never win 👀 we’ve managed to consistently get in the 80-90 point range but Carter always takes the win. I can’t ever seem to beat him at this game!

Anyway, it’s almost the weekend and I’d love to hear what games you’re hoping to play! I was recently introduced to Bad Company by @game_knightsaz and we’ve had a lot of fun playing that lately, especially when we had family in town for the holidays!

Tonight’s plans… a chill game of Wingspan! I’m really looking forward to the new WYRMSPAN release and was reading up on it again today. Made me feel like pulling out Wingspan 🤷🏼‍♀️.

I don’t normally drink during the week tbh but I’ve been adding to my arsenal of cocktails and this one is a banger - wanted to perfect it tonight and I don’t want to speak too soon butttttt I think I did it 👀

What are you playing tonight? Anything new? Or a classic fav?

Game mat is @gametoppers
Wooden trays are @wyrmwoodgaming
Custom dice tray @chasing_railways
Insert @thebrokentoken

** For the 21+ folks:

This week I’ll be sharing some pics of the newest Kickstarter launch from @laseroxinserts !

We’ve got modular player dashboards for Gloomhaven/Frosthaven and dang are they great! If any game deserves to be fully upgraded with all the fancy things it’s Gloomhaven. These are modular in the sense that with magnets on the ends you can actually connect them in any order you’d like.

You can also use the gaming kit for both Gloomhaven and Frosthaven!

The Kickstarter will run until November 30th and I highly recommend checking it out, so much easier to get these games to the table when you’ve got it well organized 💎

Happy Friday! What games are you playing this weekend??

We kicked the weekend off last night with a game of Twilight Inscription and honestly I got really into it! I’m looking forward to playing it again and I think @brycechristiansen and I will try to teach the rest of our group soon hopefully ☺️ I’ve never played TI so maybe that benefited me as I wasn’t comparing it to that the whole time. But if you’ve played I’d love to hear what you thought of it!

We’re halfway through the week 🤪

Lately I’ve been feeling the itch to start painting again, right now we’re living out of boxes while we wait for our house to be done so I don’t have access to any of my supplies but I’m definitely dreaming about the next project - most likely Nemesis Lockdown!

Any fun painting you’ve done recently?

I love playing Lost Ruins of Arnak with the expansion!

Really fun trying out all the characters - have you found a favorite that you prefer to play as?

I don’t know about you all but I suffered from a rough case of the Sunday scaries last night 🙈 not ready for Monday that’s for sure!

We invited our neighbor besties over for game night a few weeks back because they wanted to play Foundations of Rome AGAIN (that’s the best feeling) and we played it twice in a row AND introduced them to Wingspan afterwards - love it when my friends fall in love with a great game and ask to come over and play again!

Have you had recent success introducing your friends/family/neighbors to a new game?

It’s the friggin weekend, time to get all those ridiculous rulebooks read and the games played! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

What are you playing this weekend??

Full disclosure… I hate reading rulebooks, it’s literally the worst thing ever - I just want to play the games😂

Had so much fun this week at game night! I brought my new Marvel Dice Throne and we ended up playing twice because all the characters are so damn fun 🔥🔥🔥

I tried out Black Panther which I really liked and probably would have liked even more if I’d noticed that I had a passive ability 🤦🏼‍♀️ wtf I wasn’t paying attention 😂

Next I tried out Loki who I was definitely all about - - an all time fav character!

We all unanimously agreed that this new set has some incredible characters @dicethrone nailed it once again!

Last day of the MOONRAKERS campaign!

Have you backed the new expansions yet??

Binding Ties: adds awesome interaction amongst players by allowing for allying between factions. You can gain awesome rewards by completing contracts with your Allies.

Overload expansion: provides… well… an “overload” of all new stuff! Talking new contacts, loads of action cards, crew and ship parts and implements new IOsphere tokens.

So much goodness being added to a fantastic game and I honestly for sure can’t imagine playing without the Binding Ties expansion! Be sure to check out the campaign if you haven’t already 💎
