Wallen is about 4 1/2 months old. He was adopted out but he’s coming back. He is still working on being potty-trained, sleeps well in a crate at night, is good with other dogs and would do better in a home without small children. This buddy could really a safe place to recalibrate - can he stay with you?

Golden Girl’s forever chapter has officially begun!

When this sweet 11-year-old mama first arrived at SPOT Rescue, her weary frame carried the heavy weight of a difficult past. Used for backyard breeding until she was barely holding on, she still gave everything she had left to keep her puppies alive. We were in complete shock and disbelief that a dog of her advanced age could still be giving birth to litters of puppies!

When SPOT stepped in to rescue her and her little family, Golden Girl needed a mountain of healing. She battled severe skin and ear infections, hair loss, and respiratory illness. Then came another hurdle: a veterinarian discovered a mammary mass, requiring major surgery.

But senior dogs are made of pure resilience.

Today, Golden Girl is living the life she always deserved. Her incredible foster family wrapped her in endless love and made the ultimate choice—they officially adopted her! She will never know neglect again. Her days are now filled with warmth, safety, and deep love in the lap of her forever family. More importantly, her baby making days are over.

A Lifesaving Partnership: None of this would have been possible without a generous grant from the Doris Day Animal Foundation. Their support provided the vital veterinary care and surgeries Golden Girl needed to truly mend and find her second chance.

In Loving Memory of Lulu

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that our sweet, gentle Lulu passed away this week after a sudden illness.

When SPOT first rescued Lulu and her puppy, Sparky, in October 2024, they were living a harsh life on the streets. Despite her own struggles, Lulu doted on Sparky, doing everything in her power to keep him safe while he suffered from a badly damaged leg. Her fierce maternal love and gentle spirit carried them both through.

Thanks to the incredible care of an amazing foster family, both Lulu and Sparky recovered. While Sparky went on to find his forever home, Lulu waited patiently for hers. Two years ago, that perfect moment arrived. She found an extraordinary couple who showered her with the absolute devotion, safety, and love she so deeply deserved for the rest of her days.

While it feels deeply unfair to lose her so suddenly, we take immense comfort in knowing that Lulu spent her final years surrounded by pure warmth, never having to worry about the streets again. She was truly loved by so many.

Rest in peace, sweet girl. Your kind, gentle spirit will never be forgotten. ❤️🐾 by @spotsavespets
