It’s almost time to say goodbye to a true icon in the skies, TF-FIU, Icelandair’s Boeing 757 in its special “Aurora Borealis” livery.

Today, FI506/507 was flown by this beauty. It might well be the last time the “Hekla Aurora” visits Amsterdam. In 12 days, Icelandair will operate a special farewell flight over Iceland, including a scenic low-altitude leg. The Boeing 757 will be replaced by the more efficient and modern Airbus A321NEO.

What is your favourite memory about this aircraft?

The end of an era.

Today Boeing will deliver their final produced Boeing 747 to @atlasairworldwide

I’m so happy that I was able to work with the Boeing 747-400 of KLM back in the days. A stunning plane that never disappointed. It will for always be my favourite plane that gave me the “aviation virus”.

Such an amazing experience that I honestly totally forgot, oeps. Last year, when Joe Biden paid a visits with airforce one, I went to Brussel to catch the landing at runway 25R. Oh no wait, they switched it to 25L last minute.🥲😂

We’ve had some special visitors at Schiphol lately. You can see two of the big five almost weekly. But do you know which animal is on the other side?

The gorgeous Vietnam Airlines rotating towards Hanoi. So good to see those colourful livery’s these days since multiple airlines are switching to basic white livery’s!🛫

Old but gold!✨ Who else misses this stunning aircraft? So sad that KLM removed the retro livery.
