250 years of the greatest idea ever conceived by mankind.

Through war, famine, political strife and economic turmoil, that idea has endured. It has endured not by the hands of tyrants nor by the will of monarchs, but by the sweat, blood, and tears shed by her people; and only through the camaraderie, efforts, and dedication of those people can we ensure that government of the people, by the people, and for the people, won’t perish from the earth.

Tyrants, dictators, and regimes will rise and fall but the fighting spirit and diligence for justice instilled within the frame of our nation must never wain. It is only through our compromise and teamwork can we continue to endure.

Impromptu trips lead to lasting memories.

So thankful for all my friends who stuck it out when times got tough and when I needed them the most. They call me out for my bs and brought me closer to God. The ones who send the invites even when you feel down and always have you in their thoughts.

Thanks for giving me a reason to stick around guys and know I love you so much.

When your son brought home a single mom with a child out of wedlock I know you had your doubts, but after we met you found how big your heart could be. We may have never been blood but you never made me question that we were family. Thank you for welcoming in our broken family and for showing us how much love could be had in the family you find.

I hope you found some sort of peace in your time.
