The internet had some thoughts about this month’s LTO, so the Communications Team went straight to the source to get some first-hand reviews! The verdict? “It’s good... I love it!”

Once a month, Aramark introduces a Limited Time Offering (LTO) to students in grades K–8, giving them a chance to try something new. This year, five of the nine LTOs also feature a meatless option. Many dishes incorporate fresh herbs and techniques like roasting to reduce sodium without sacrificing flavor.

So, where do the ideas come from? Aramark’s Culinary Alliance, a team of field-based executive chefs, draws inspiration from student surveys, current food trends, and what they’re seeing in schools and communities. Congratulations to SFAHS senior Michael G., who won the PIAA District One Boys Individual Golf Championship today at Turtle Creek Golf Course!

Michael finished the two-round tournament at even par, earning the individual championship by one stroke. With the victory, he qualifies for the PIAA Golf Championship, October 18–20.

A huge thank you to the Royersford Fire Department for helping our students learn about fire safety during Fire Prevention Week! The department brought two fire trucks and many dedicated volunteers to spend time with our students, share important fire safety lessons, and give them an up-close look at the equipment our community’s firefighters use every day.

We’re especially proud that many of the volunteers who visited our schools are Spring-Ford graduates who continue to give back and serve the community they grew up in! Thank you for your time, your service, and for being such an important part of our Spring-Ford community! by @springfordasd

Spring-Ford's Food Services Team is spicing things up this October with their Limited Time Offering (LTO) meal, the Southwest Crunch Burger! On October 7th, students can enjoy a beef burger topped with crunchy tortilla strips, Southwest-seasoned sauce, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and pickled or roasted peppers, served on a bun. To make this a full meal, students are offered five menu components (protein, vegetable, fruit, grain/bread, milk) daily for lunch. Of the five items offered, each student selects three items.

Aramark is bringing a balance of flavor, efficiency, and nutrition to the 2026–2027 school year with the introduction of its latest Limited Time Offers (LTOs). Last week, student scientists dove into the exciting world of observations, combining modern-day science with the timeless skill of simply taking a closer look at the world around us... hands-on learning at its best!

Students practiced making quantitative observations (numbers and measurements) and qualitative observations (descriptions) as they explored nature right in our own backyard. From identifying different plant species using the SEEK app to measuring their characteristics, students learned how to observe, question, measure, and think like true scientists.

A special thank-you to Mr. Rendick for making this Spring-Ford rite of passage a day that our 7th grade students look forward to every year! by @springfordasd

To our custodial, grounds, and maintenance teams: thank you! From classrooms and hallways to athletic fields, offices, and everything in between, your work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt throughout our entire district. You arrive early, stay late, respond when something needs attention, prepare our buildings and grounds for countless events, and take pride in making Spring-Ford a place where our students and staff can learn, work, and thrive.

This year, 34 Spring-Ford Area High School students were named as Commended Students in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program! These students were among 34,000 high performers who scored in the commended student range out of more than 1.5 million students taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) test in October of their Sophomore year. Limerick Elementary School recently welcomed author and illustrator Jonathan Miller, creator of The Adventures of Sammy books! Miller shared his creative process, giving students a behind-the-scenes look at how he develops his stories and brings Sammy’s adventures to life. One of the most unique parts of his process? He “draws” with cut construction paper! Using carefully cut pieces of colorful paper, Miller creates his characters, settings, and illustrations, showing students that creativity can take many different forms. His visit inspired students to think creatively, explore their own ideas, and see the many possibilities that exist when writing and art come together. by @springfordasd
