Congratulations to Franklin Sirmans and Megan Kincaid for the stellar presentation. And thank you to all the legends that flew in to celebrate what just may be the best exhibition to hit Miami yet!

Looking back on an incredible visit with Darlene and Jorge Pérez during Aspen Art Week. Their passion for collecting is unrivaled, every work enters the collection with deep appreciation and a genuine desire to share each artist’s story.

It is an honor to have placed several of the works in their collection, now beautifully installed on the grounds and in their new home.

What makes their vision even more meaningful is the extraordinary generosity that extends beyond their own collection. Their commitment to making art accessible to broader communities through philanthropy is truly inspiring.

So fun to be reunited with Spain, by Basquiat, that I sold in 2010.

Flashback to one of my favorite museum loans—Jean-Michel Basquiat’s, Eggs—which I had the privilege of facilitating for a client to go on view at PAMM before traveling to the Fondation Louis Vuitton.

As we look forward to tomorrow’s opening of The Bassquiat exhibition at PAMM, it feels like the perfect moment to revisit this remarkable work. Basquiat had a way of turning the simplest symbols into profound questions.

Sometimes the best art doesn’t give us answers—it keeps us asking.

Basquiat: 1978-1987
 Bonnier Gallery
Basquiat loved Miami, which makes it especially exciting to have such an incredible collection of his work on view in our very own, Little River! Thank you to Grant Bonnier for sharing such an authentic view of Basquiat’s practice.

Alongside major paintings and works on paper are early postcards dating back to 1980 that the collector bought from the artist on the street in the Lower East Side. Rare family photographs, and intimate images taken by Andy Warhol create a remarkable time capsule, tracing Basquiat’s journey through the streets of downtown.

The exhibition is the perfect prelude to Ken Griffin’s Basquiat collection opening this week at PAMM.

It was a joy to share it with the Faena Rose community last night!

Day 1 NYC
First stop, Sotheby’s to see the preview for the Impressionist and Modern sale, followed by a must-see stop at Di Donna Galleries to experience Salvador Dalí: The Great Years, 1929–1939 — an extraordinary look at one of the artist’s most inventive periods.

Then on to my favorite fair, TEFAF New York, filled with exciting discoveries an seeing so many dear friends. Ending the day with the perfect dinner at East Pole with besties, Jen and Max. Perfect day.

An incredibly moving exhibition by Lorna Simpson at Punta della Dogana. The resonant sound of the singing bowls against her monochrome portraits and glacial landscapes evokes ICE and its many historical and contemporary layers. The works feel both ethereal and deeply grounded, linking past and present in a way that is hauntingly relevant. One of the most powerful exhibitions in Venice. It was super special to have the chance to meet the artist while visiting the show.

Day 2 NYC.
The day began with the Pérez Art Museum Miami Collectors Council, led by their incredible curatorial team, with gallery visits to Magenta Plains, P.P.O.W., Garth Greenan Gallery, Hauser & Wirth, and Lisson Gallery, ending with a lunch meeting at the JPMorgan Chase & Co. headquarters.

The afternoon continued with a walkthrough of Christie’s extraordinary sales coming up this week. So many masterpieces from the S. I. Newhouse Jr. Collection and Agnes Gund. The Constantin Brâncuși and Mark Rothko works are simply among the finest examples of their kind.
