sprinkle meteor peas this month 🫛🌱

not only are they perfect for an autumn sow, peas help fix nitrogen in the soil, giving your garden a little natural nutrient boost for the seasons ahead 💚

sprinkle now, let peas grow ✨

Let’s make garlic babies! 😂🧄

One little clove now, hopefully a whole bulb next summer 🌱

Split your bulb into cloves, leave the papery skins on and plant pointy end up! Aim for 15cm apart, with the tips about 2.5cm below the soil, in a sunny spot with good drainage.

Most garlic needs a cold spell to develop proper bulbs, which is why autumn is such a lovely time to get planting 🍂

Save this for planting day! Are you growing garlic this year?

This week we’ve sown our first broad bean seeds. We’re growing these in a large container, planting the seeds approximately 5 cm deep and 20 cm apart.

Sowing in autumn should allow for strong root systems to develop over winter, hopefully leading to a great harvest in spring 2027.

Seeds were gifted from @sprinkleseedsco

What seeds are you sowing this month? Let us know in the comments 👇

one clove at a time 🧄✨

as temperatures cool, it’s time to get your garlic in the ground 🌱 why? because it gives it time to establish roots before winter sets in and bulbs begin to develop 📦
