SQI is delighted to present “Girls & Boys” at this year’s Irish Australian Film Festival in both Sydney & Melbourne, along with @melbournequeerirish 🎬 Playing on October 9th at Palace Cinemas (Sydney) - see @irishfilmfestau or @palacecinemas for details and tickets.

“A tender, funny, and quietly radical romantic comedy. GIRLS & BOYS tells the story of rugby player Jace meeting aspiring filmmaker Charlie at a college party. Both attend Trinity, but their worlds couldn’t be more different—Charlie is trans, her circle full of queer artists and creatives, while Jace sticks with the more strait-laced camaraderie of his rugby teammates.

When the party is suddenly shut down by the police, the two find themselves alone in the streets of nighttime Dublin. As they wander the city, sharing secrets, dreams, and fears about life after college, a surprising revelation from their shared past threatens to upend their fragile connection. Jace must confront not only his past, but the social identity he’s long taken for granted.

GIRLS & BOYS features breakout performances from newcomers Liath Hannon and Adam Lunnon-Collery.” taken in Palace Cinema by @sqirish

Wanna see a show? Come along to Bernie Dieter’s Club Kabbaret with SQI for a special discounted price! You’ll be seated in the best seats in the house and even get a picture on stage with Bernie before the show!
Thursday 15th October, 7pm at Carriageworks
Ticket Link in Bio

The über-award winning queen of Weimar-punk, Bernie Dieter, returns to Sydney with Club Kabarett, the darkest, funniest and most debauched cabaret experience east of Berlin.

Join Bernie and her gin soaked haus band for a night of breathtaking circus, gender-bending aerialism and fire-breathing sideshow at its most provocative and hilarious best. With a dizzying lineup of world class artists fresh from New York, Paris and Berlin, this is an unmissable night of debauchery done right.

This is more than just a show; it’s a triumphant middle finger held up against the mundane. It’s cabaret at it’s boldest, most provocative, and more outrageously entertaining than ever before. by @sqirish
