JAEK EL DIABLO — FRIENDS & FAMILY 🗽🔥

Back in NYC, surrounded by people who have been part of my journey.

Friends & Family at Studio6 Gallery in the Lower East Side was more than an exhibition — it was about real connections, graffiti culture, collaborations and all the people I’ve met, painted with and shared walls with over the years in New York.

From the streets to the gallery, same energy, same family. 🗽

This exhibition was very personal to me. I curated and created the whole show myself, bringing together artists I’ve met, painted with, collaborated with and built real friendships with through my years in New York and beyond.

The idea was simple: bring my world into one space — my own work alongside collaborations with artists who have been part of my journey.

Much love & respect to all the artists involved:

Ces • Wane • Yes • Ribs • Bies • Miki Mu • Symone Lu • Danielle Corao • Nemzoid • Stem • Kris Robot • Kush Co • Ares • Gusto • Trades • Skuff • Belowkey • Kate Storch • SP One • André Trenier

From the streets to the gallery, it’s still about the same thing: culture, friendship, respect and creating together.

New York has been part of my story for many years, and Friends & Family was my way of celebrating the people, the connections and the graffiti culture that continue to inspire me.

Thank you to Studio6 and everybody who came through and showed love. 🙏🔥

Big love and respect to every artist who collaborated with me, everyone who came through, supported the show and made this night special.

New York has been part of my story for many years — and it keeps inspiring the next chapter.

Big up to @squedado and @sacsix from @studio6.nyc
Thanks for the support and their invitation

And to my Friend @ny.crooklyn without him

Still taking this one in ❤️‍🔥✨💫

Huge thank you to @original_bando for letting me tag along for a truly once-in-a-lifetime visit with my favorite artist of all time, FUTURA @futuralaboratories. To be in that space with two absolute legends, listening to stories from back in the day, talking art, history, NYC, Paris and everything in between… unreal.

FUTURA & Shilei, thank you for opening your doors and sharing your studio and hospitality with us. Also for the thoughtful gift. And I’ll never forget … Futura may have met other Shei-la’s, but there’s only one Shilei 🔥❤️

BANDO, thank you for bringing me along for the ride, always. Watching the two of you together and hearing the history firsthand was something really special.

Then somehow the night got even cooler… ending it over an amazing lobster dinner, great food, great stories and even better company 🦞🥂 Thank you again, Bunny 💙🐰, for making the night so special 🗽🌙✨💫 taken in Redhook, Brooklyn by @squedado

Thursday July 30th Studio6 (@studio6.nyc ) celebrates the opening night of U&LC (Upper and Lower Case) featuring the works of T.KID170 (@TKID170 ), SHOE (@nielsshoemeulman ) and BANDO (@Original_Bando ). U&LC is a reference to the typographic journal published in the ‘70’s to the present and the artists featured in this exhibition exemplify the creative and artistic possibilities of the alphabet.
.
This exhibition also coincides with the release of Black Book: Graffiti in the 1980s by Niels Shoe Meulman also known as SHOE. This publication offers access into SHOE’s black book, allowing a rare glimpse of the early development of one of graffiti’s most influential artists, whose career would later bridge graffiti, calligraphy and typography.
.
Music for the night will be provided by DJ Boo (that’s me), DJ Fra Blimey (@Fra_Blimey ), and DJ Toshi (@DeeJay_Toshi ).

What do you love about @studio6.nyc ? The art? The people? The Sixer Lager? The pool table? "Great Art. Great Vibes" is our motto and everything we stand behind. The last few months have been incredible. Thank you to all the artists who make our weekly Thursday art shows happen. And a big thanks to all the people who bring the good vibes. We are building a community of creatives and collectors, while creating a safe place for connections. We look forward to much more. #studio6nyc #studio6gallery #sacsixproductions by @squedado

🚨 Milestone Alert 🚨
April 30th marked our 30th show @studio6.nyc !!

What started on Sept 18th has evolved into something so much bigger than we ever imagined. And celebrating this milestone alongside our new beer launch, The Sixer, just feels like one of those “pinch me” moments!

Thirty shows of creativity, of community, of late nights, music, pool, sports, beer & wine, birthdays, holidays, conversations, laughs, and everything in between, all unfolding exactly how it was meant to and exceeding all our expectations.

Built with love and intention alongside awe-inspiring @sacsix, our invaluable Gallerina @madebymiriamg, and carried every step of the way by the people who make this space so special - artists, collectors, creatives, community, sponsors, family and friends 🙏✨💫

30 shows in, and it feels like we are just getting started. THANK YOU!!

Great Art. Great Vibes. Great Beer.
Always ❤️✨💫
