Done! My entry for #geordiedaemon by @clubhouse.gaming This guy is my most armour-clad 'Marine Killer' yet, but he's bested one of my own Pumpkin'eads(!), so I have mixed feelings about him.

Of course he didn't want the helmet as it would mess up his hair, so he slung it in the chemical spill.

In hindsight, he looks more ready for a game of Blood Bowl than a skirmish, but that's fine, as I have vague plans for a fun team of these guys for friendlies.

Back to this awesome hobby after a 30 year break, my main (and only) army back in the early 90s was Undead, so I'm loyal to the skellies! This head is a 90s noggin, off the sprue, and I remember doing a mohawk back in the day, so it's been on the list to tick off since diving back in.

Can't wait to see all the other awesome entries! Happy painting, people!

#sdpcentry23 @stibioprimaris I'm calling this done! Thanks to Stibio for hosting this comp. It was the nudge I needed to paint my next Dread. I was a little late to the party (life stuff. Standard), so it was a week or so of late evenings. But I find that sort of intense painting really good for improvement, personally.

For this project I used Citadel, The Army Painter and Vallejo paints. But the game-changer was trying out my new @akinteractive.official Intense set. The Deep Orange is now my go-to(!), and the purple as one of my highlight colours is also here to stay. They are such silky smooth paints!

For the first time I painted per section(ish) to completion. I really enjoyed this. I did it because I like watching the progress of others doing this, I wanted to test out that sense of completion and I was also shaking up the colour distribution of my Pumpkin'eads scheme, and left decisions until a section was done. I nearly went full 'jester' but I like how it turned out. Maybe I'll try that next time.

#paintitopen done! @sons_of_vresh @zymbiotiz_arts_and_crafts .

No skelly heads, no purple and orange, no funny business. I fancied a palette-cleanser before getting back to my normal colours, and this challenge was the perfect excuse.

In the spirit of 'Eavy Metal I stuck to just Citadel paints for this one (except black and white, I couldn't justify that with my AK paints staring at me).

Painting blue is actually very relaxing I've found! Really enjoyed this.

Gobbo by @mini_polka_88 done! This was so fun to paint! I'll say it again, the sculpting and the print quality is so good, not to mention how much character she works into her gobbos. Go check out out all her other designs!

He's on a 25mm base for size reference, literally about the size of my thumbnail.

He is a Pumpkin'ead, but I tried a different vibe with far more muted tones. Tried to keep the nmm more subtle, attempted some orangey copper for the helmet, and went far darker on the skin than I usually would for a gobbo. All of which made his boots pop even more hilariously bright, and I like it!

Thank you again Mini Polka for sending this to me, I had a blast!

#PaintItGreen26 WIP! I've stuck with Citadel colours for the skin aiming more for the current 'Eavy Metal light skin less saturated vibe, of course also including the reactivated Goblin Green hex pot for the mid-tones. Normal AK 3rd Gen business will resume on all other areas of this model!

#PaintItGreen26 WIP. I'm up to my old (slimy) tricks again. Just a simple hobby cork cut at an angle and glued to a standard 32mm base and then my usual glowing goop and mottled stone recipes, and I think it's turned out pretty nicely!

#paintitgreen26 WIP. Proof that the Goblin Green hex pot lives on (just about!). It's a bit crunchy to work with as you'd expect from a 30 year old reactivated paint, but I'm soldiering on with some messy mid-tones before a good clean-up, and it is worth it for the nostalgia hit!

I'm going for a far lighter and less saturated green skin this time, more towards the current 'Eavy Metal look than my usual vivid colours, as I really like it, never do it, and there is also plenty of other green planned for this little scene.

This awesome gobbo is from the @rampage_miniatures range, and if you like goblins check them out!
