Don’t blink, you might miss out. So four years come to a conclusion. With that conclusion, comes the celebration of a hard earned degree. What nobody really tells you however, is the bitter sweet nature of that finale. You bid farewell to a place you visited daily, you check off a goal you have been diligently working towards, and most importantly, you say goodbye to some incredible people as you part ways. Key takeaways: 1-) Become the person you sought out to be. What I mean is, these are the years where you get the opportunity to form into the individual you have always wanted to be. These are your formative years, so work hard. Don’t let yourself look back and wish you could’ve done more. Do your best now, and you will amaze yourself. 2-) Life is short. It passes by with a hurry. Try to enjoy the moment, and see the beauty of it. Don’t be so consumed by the future that you forget to enjoy the present. 3-) Surround yourself with people who make you happy and make you a better person. Those people will inevitably mold you, so make sure they mold you into someone you want to be. 4-) Things get better. You may have a hard day, a tough week, a bleak month, but know that things always do end up working out. There is always light at the end of the tunnel (or maybe in a cathedral). 5-) Be nice, and help those around you. The world isn’t just about you, and your goals.
