POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Take a look into our archives from last night’s Second Annual Dinner!

Spread the Love Projects hosted a special SOLD OUT dinner event at the Grand Concourse for 150 guests, including esteemed partners like the UPMC Community Health Staff and partners from Slippery Rock’s Honors College.

The event lineup featured insightful speeches from our partners and recognition of outstanding contributors.

Dr. Owusu-Ansah spoke about the importance of pediatric health and the meaningful impact Spread the Love Projects and UPMC are jointly making to better serve the local community. Mr. Khalid Ajmal powerfully advocated for healthcare equality within our specific community. Lastly, Hannah Brown shared her son Colton’s story. STLP has been supporting the Brown family for the last few months and it was beautiful hearing Hannah share her story.

We also awarded this year’s President’s Award to our incredible Treasurer, Zayaan Tirmizi, who has become a force of nature in helping take STLP to new heights!

Guests participated in a raffle with prize baskets, enjoyed a four course meal, and fundraised for the STLP cause. This celebratory dinner expressed our deep gratitude towards all who have uplifted Spread the Love Projects over the past two years. We sincerely thank our internal team and the Grand Concourse staff for making this event possible, as well as our community partners who donated raffle baskets.

As we look ahead, Spread the Love Projects remains fully committed to easing financial hardship for families managing pediatric medical costs. We will continue working to create positive change in our community.

We would also like to give a huge thank you and shoutout to @paulkoontzcreative at Peak Visualz for these incredible pictures!

OUR LARGEST DISTRIBUTION YET!!

Last week, Spread the Love Projects had the privilege of visiting the Universal Academy of Pittsburgh (UAP) as part of our CARE (Children’s Access to Resources and Equality) Project initiative. Our focus was to provide essential supplies to underserved children and spread vital information on health and wellness.

Alisha Virk, BSN, RN— STLP’s Community Health Educator— conducted an informative hygiene discussion tailored specifically for the female students, covering basic health principles and a conversation regarding female reproductive health. Simultaneously, our Treasurer, Zayaan Tirmizi, led a parallel session for the male students, addressing general health, hygiene, and reproductive health.

STLP remains steadfast in its commitment to making a tangible impact within our community. With your continued support and dedication, we will continue to contribute to “changing the world one project at a time”.

Spread the Love Projects is extremely appreciative of everyone who donated and walked with us this past Saturday at the annual Walk for Children’s event! Through your support, we had 43 members represent our STLP team and raised $1,473. Out of the 255 teams registered, we were the 11th largest. Because of donors like you, we are able to help children in need. Thank you for your constant support! #upmcchildrenshospital #walkforchildrens #nonprofit #nonprofitorganization #spreadtheloveprojects
