POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Second show, 1 week after the first. It felt unreal—and it was a dream come true. I have so so many incredible photos (thanks to so many amazing photographers in my life), & my reel from last week disappeared, so sharing a similar caption & story here:

I’m so grateful for the support of my friends and family throughout this journey. It meant the world to be cheered on by them—not just yesterday, but every step of the way.

I’ve been weightlifting on and off for six years, but only dove into the world of bodybuilding four months ago when I joined @team_franco_bodybuilding. Why did I start? After months of traveling, I was craving routine and structure. When I moved to NYC, I envisioned getting back in the gym and learning to cook for myself. Then I saw a reel about prep—and realized my goals aligned perfectly. It gave me something tangible to strive for.

Over the past four months, I gave it everything I had. And looking back, I gained so much. I’ve fallen in love with the community of strong women I’ve met through this sport. I’ve learned so much about my body and how to fuel it. And I had the privilege of putting my discipline to the test—choosing to show up every single day.

To win my pro card and qualify for the Yorton Cup—I’m so, so grateful.

Bodybuilding changed the way I view the body. In a lot of ways, it desexualized it for me.

When I first got into this world and attended my first show to support a friend, it was all lights, sparkly accessories, and bikinis. I was amazed, but honestly, everyone looked kind of the same to me.

Then, slowly, you learn what you’re actually looking at. You start getting excited about capped delts, rounded glutes, hamstring separation, tie-ins. You start noticing details that probably mean nothing to anyone outside the sport.

I was telling my mom the other day that I used to not understand why girls would post photos bent over in front of the mirror just to show their hamstrings. From where I stood, I thought, ā€œwhy invite that kind of attention?ā€

And then I spent weeks chasing that same visible hamstring separation— at first, it only shows up when you bend over. I got it. Now, I’m the one sending my family pictures like, ā€œLOOK!! These lines are new!!!ā€

The body starts to feel less like something to be judged and more like a work of art you slowly sculpt through consistency, discipline, and showing up. There are no shortcuts, and no one can take the work away from you.

When that perspective really clicks, bodybuilding becomes such an incredible and beautiful sport. For me, it’s become a form of self-care, self-respect, and self-love. ā¤ļø

September Dump:

I’d like to think of these photo dumps as a public-facing visual archive of my life, organized discreetly into 12 collections of roughly 15-20 units(photos).

I was thinking about how what I’m most proud of are the relationships that I have built in my life. They're the product of hard work, and likely what will flash before my eyes in the moments before I inevitably depart from the conscious world, iA, many, many decades from now.

That’s the guiding…safe premise.

But at the same time, I can’t help but think that if I were to solicit the fancy of a Mademoiselle, she would perform a compulsory audit of my social media.

There she would see that I do in fact have friends, I am not lonely, there are interesting things happening in my life, I have some degree of social competence and relational intelligence, there are people who put up with me voluntarily, I am able to make plans, I can maintain consistency in relationships meaning that I can navigate conflict and repair, I am financially competent enough to participate in social activities, I will not rely on a romantic partner for all of my relational needs, I have people who can hold me accountable and so much more.

…or is it me trying to convince myself that I’m not lonely and I have all those things?

No, no, no its a humble public-facing visual archive of my life.

We all contain multitudes. by @sravyabas

and that’s a wrap, last show of the season šŸ’š

thank you for this opportunity to step on stage, @spectrumfitnessproductions
šŸ„‰open class A (natural & NPC shows)
šŸ„‡novice overall (natural show)

I’m really proud of the physique that I brought to stage this past weekend. And I’m so grateful for the endless support from my coaches— in the past two years, I’ve learned so much not only about this sport, but also fitness, nutrition, and showing up for myself.

@team_franco_bodybuilding — thank you for always being in my corner, and your patience as I learned what sustainability and balance looks like through these two preps we’ve done together.

@coach_marraposing — after so many Bikini sessions, we nailed this Fit Model division posing in just a few weeks 🤯 and your attention to detail and dedication to this art makes a world of difference.

To my friends— wow. Having your support in person made this day so so so much fun. Thank you for making me feel so seen and loved.

And lastly, to all the lovely girls I met backstage, giggled about our matching suits with, who shared their homemade Rice Krispies šŸ„¹ā€¦ hearing about your journeys and what brought you to the stage inspired me so much. Building this community is such a huge part of what makes competing so special to me. taken in San Jose, California by @sravyabas

I had so, so much fun competing at my first OCB Pro shows these past two weeks— debuting at Apex in Norfolk, VA, followed by the Yorton Championships this past Saturday in Charlotte, NC.

This prep has meant so much to me.

Last year, when I first got into this sport, I was laser focused. Just me, my meal prep, and the gym. Perfectionism took over, and I let nothing get in the way. But when I crossed the finish line and won my pro card, I felt strangely out of control. I’d spent so long restricting myself that suddenly, I craved an escape from all the rules. And without that rigid discipline, I almost struggled to recognize myself.

So I decided to try again. I felt like I still had something to learn here.

This year, I wanted to find balance through the prep— not just after it. For me, that looked like traveling, making time for friends and relationships, and prioritizing rest. It was a birthday dinner in Italy, a cooking class in New Orleans, and biryani at home. I made a choice in each moment based on what I valued, gave myself a longer runway, and tightened the regimen as we got closer.

Through all this, I learned that discipline doesn’t have to mean rigidity. Consistency wins every time. I can make intentional choices without needing every choice to be perfect. And through that, I’ve built so much more trust in myself.

The work isn’t done yet— I have another show in two weeks, my first NPC show! The judges’ feedback was actionable: come in leaner. So… we’re working on it šŸ˜‚

I’m so grateful for everything this sport has taught me—and continues to teach me. ā¤ļø Thank you to everyone who has coached me and supported me through this.
