A little ST. ALi detour on the way to Uluwatu. I was on my way from Tabanan to Labuan Sait, Uluwatu for a photoshoot when I realized the new ST. ALi in Jimbaran was sitting almost perfectly in between. Well, having a bit of history with ST. ALi Bali, it felt like a good excuse to make a quick stop. I still remember when ST. ALi first landed in Bali at Further Hotel in Pererenan back in 2024. Since then, it’s been really nice to see the brand growing here, and now they’ve opened their second Bali home in Jimbaran. At first glance, you can definitely feel the connection between Jimbaran and Pererenan — the warm timber, earthy tones, natural materials and that very recognizable ST. ALi character are still there. But the personality feels quite different. Pererenan feels a little lighter and more contemporary, while Jimbaran leans much deeper into its tropical surroundings. The combination of dark timber, rough natural stone, rattan, marble, greenery and that huge glowing ceiling feature gives the space a much warmer and more grounded atmosphere. It feels almost like ST. ALi has taken the same visual language and adapted it to a different part of Bali. And I think that’s what I enjoyed most about this visit — seeing how a familiar brand can still feel different depending on where it lands. For me, it was just a quick stop somewhere between Tabanan and Uluwatu, but somehow it became another little coffee-shop photo walk.
