THIS! Cause energy is er’thang. It just is 👀🤷🏽‍♀️ Back in the day, one of my aunt’s on occasion would say, “The Gig Is Up!” And no matter when she said it, how the phrase was used or who it was directed to, that particular phrase always resonated with me. My kids have gone off to college, and in 2 weeks my house has gone from summer fun shenanigans, the chaos of packing, and a lot of noise to total quietness. It is unexplainable. Many have shared their opinions, cast judgement, tried to give advice and tell me how to navigate this next chapter of my life. All while never truly extending me grace and allowing me to have a moment to just breathe and grieve this loss. Honestly if folk could just put on a pair of size 12 moccasins and walk a mile in my shoes, then they’d realize that NO I am not some neurotic helicopter mom who is unable to relinquish control. NO I am not overly concerned that my kids are out there in the world “living their lives” and enjoying the college experience. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. I love seeing my kids enjoy college life and navigate the nuances of being scholar athletes. It is so refreshing to talk to them and hear about their days and experiences while witnessing the manifestation of the lessons their father and I have instilled in them. NO, I am a mom who has poured everything into her children. I have loved my children with everything good in me! I enjoyed being a summer sports camp mom, a soccer mom, a basketball mom, a cross-country and a track and field mom. Even when I was completely overwhelmed with life, I still loved every single moment of being a mom to @imaniii.johnson and @_justice.johnson_
So now, today, tomorrow and each upcoming day I learn to live and prosper within this new life change. Instead of judgment, just pray for ya girl. #HereWeGo #ImNotReady #MissingMyHeartbeats #ForwardMarch #PhDYear2 by @staceygraggsjohnson

Wishing we were there with y’all. Sis, our story - our DNA - our lifetime experiences..…just WOW and GOD is so good! If you know me then you already understand exactly what being able to hug my nephew son @gbaridenzel meant to me (and yes, you know I was crying). March 27th changed our family forever! Do you hear me? Forever!!! My nephew is a walking miracle! I KNOW God is a healer! I KNOW the effectual and fervent prayers of the righteous availeth much! I KNOW that ALL things work together for good, for those who love God and are the called according to His purpose.
