The official trailer for ‘The Greatest’ just dropped, and New Orleans filmmaker @staceymuhammad directed episodes 3 and 4 of the upcoming Muhammad Ali series, premiering November 4 on Prime Video.

“I’m incredibly honored to be a part of it,” Stacey shared. “I can’t wait for the world to see this one!”

From her New Orleans roots to the director’s chair, Stacey continues to put her storytelling on a major stage.

Meet Stacey Muhammad, one of the most in-demand directors in television. She’s directed every season of Prime Video’s CROSS, including the season 3 finale, and her episode of Hulu’s #1 show REASONABLE DOUBT airs October 20.

Her credits also include HARLEM, where she served as Co-Executive Producer, and THE BEST MAN: THE FINAL CHAPTERS. Her career took off when Ava DuVernay tapped her to direct QUEEN SUGAR.

Next up, two episodes she directed of Amazon’s Muhammad Ali series THE GREATEST premieres November 4, and she’s developing her first feature film, THE RETURN. 👀

To know Tasha is to love her. She is one of the most generous, loving, and deeply supportive people I know. She is a giver, a listener, and a champion for others.

What I love most about Tasha is how fully she gives herself to the people she loves. She shares the deepest parts of who she is, shows up with her whole heart, and gives so much more than most people will ever know. She is truly deserving of every beautiful thing God and life have to offer.

I am so proud of you, Tasha. Proud of your growth, your expansion, your courage, and the way you continue to step into everything that is waiting for you. This phenomenal cast is blessed to have you leading them, and I know this film carries your heart, your vision, and your spirit.

There are some people whose existence changes your life forever. You have been that person for me. Watching you grow into the woman you are has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I am endlessly proud of your strength, your heart, your creativity, and the ways you continue to rise.

My fondest memory of Mother Khadijah Farrakhan was spending a little time with her before the Million Man March - 30 years ago.

Bro. @_zaheerali and I had been up for some ungodly number of hours in the days leading up to the march. We tried taking turns sleeping, and then eventually we were just walking around like robots, praying Allah would spare us and that our bodies could keep going without...sleep.

Mind you, we ended up dozing off ON STAGE during the march, but that’s another story.

Anyway, there was dinner with the Minister, pictures were taken, and all of that. At some point, I found myself sitting on the floor at Mother Khadijah’s feet. Then somehow, someway, I was sitting on the couch next to her.

I was BEAT.

Somewhere in the chaos of not sleeping, I had ended up with only one earring in. And mind you, this was a big hoop, so it was pretty obvious that there was only one dangling.

Mother Khadijah looked at me and said, “Honey, where’s your other earring?”

I just looked at her and said, “Mother, I don’t know.”

We laughed, and I laid my head on her shoulder.

Man, we were EXHAUSTED. But what an honor!

May Allah be pleased with her. May the heavens open and welcome her with open arms. May she rest in peace and paradise. A life well lived. She will truly be missed! by @staceymuhammad

There is something beautiful about watching an artist find their voice and share the way they see the world. Through your photography, you’ve created images that are thoughtful, striking, and uniquely your own.

I am incredibly proud of the artist you are, the work you create, and the craft you share with the world. Thank you for allowing us to see New Orleans—and life itself—through your lens.

And thank you to all of our family and friends who came out to support the exhibit. Your presence, encouragement, and love meant so much.
