With all the news about Dwayne Wiggins and Angie Stone’s untimely passing, I was reluctant to even make this announcement. It just seemed like poor timing to make such a seemingly self-serving post, but then again a timeline cleanse could do some good as well. Plus it’s been a while since I’ve shared a praise report with y’all…

Things have been moving rapidly for me and since word has already started spreading even more rapidly, I figured I may as well come out and share it publicly. I have been called to serve as the new Music Director and Keyboardist for the legendary R&B group @boyziimen and I’m completing my first international tour with the group as we speak. This is not only a tremendous honor for me but a full circle moment as well, as my uncle Johnnie Croom was their MD in the mid 90s at the height of their career. As a young person, watching my uncle tour the world with one of the most noteworthy singing groups in the world was what inspired me to want to become a professional musician in the first place, so it’s surreal for me to find myself in such a position some 30 years later. Please pray my strength as I prepare to embark on the latest chapter in my career, and hopefully I’ll see you at a show or festival soon! by @standavismusic

Tremendously proud of my brother @jay_drumz101 who is the drummer and new MD for the R&B group @all4onemusic. Lionel is a brilliant musician and I got to witness him in action with the group last night during a fantastic concert in California. Be sure to catch them for a show or festival soon!! Huge congrats bro and keep on killing it!!!

I reached out to my guy @jerz_mason the other day and told him I needed some help with my keyboard situation, and within less than 2 hours I not only had everything I needed, but I also got DIRECTLY connected with one of the TOP cats at @rolandglobal, the incomparable Synth Wizard Mr. @eddiazkeys himself!!! I recently became a fan of his YouTube videos so it was a tremendous honor to meet him, and he’s a brilliant teacher and an amazing human being. I’m incredibly blessed to have great relationships with people who are not only the best in the world at what they do, but who know how to get results when it counts!!

Shout out to @manmanphilly for being the 🔌 and a HUGE shout out to @JerzMasonEntGrp #JMEG for ALWAYS being on point with Consulting, Immediate Assistance and RESULTS 🙏🏿💯‼️ taken in Houston, Texas by @standavismusic

“If you can keep your head when all about you
 Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
 But make allowance for their doubting too:

If you can fill the unforgiving minute
 With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
 And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!”

PRAISE REPORT:

So a few weeks ago an unnamed airline mishandled my pedal board and broke one of my pedals. I didn’t have time for the whole claims process so I contacted the manufacturer directly to order a replacement. Long story short they not only were able to repair my pedal in minutes, but they also invited me to their workshop for an interview AND they helped me to completely overhaul my entire pedal board with newly mounted footswitches!! And just in time for tour!!

Shout out to Ryan and his amazing team over at @barn3pedals!! These new #OXU Universal Footswitches are not only super cool but amazingly versatile!! I’m super excited to debut them on the road with @kindredthem at @citywinerynyc on 12/26!! And stay tuned for the interview which will be live on YouTube soon!!!
