happy pride month, hire ur local queer!!! me!!! because i am about to have WAY more free time than i anticipated 😵‍💫
if i can be serious, every show i’ve put on since TYT closed has been self-produced, booked, and curated, and i am currently riding a crazy rejection streak in terms of festival applications. writing’s been there for me at a slightly better rate, but i’m still in something of a limbo with some big grants and asks up in the air. losing work has been a huge rug pull, especially because i LOVED my job!! but being who i am, i’m gonna try and make the best outta things. so if anyone wants to make noise or art or anything else, u know where to find me :} taken in Fairy Land by @stanzalune

❧⋆˚࿔ so excited to finally share my next single with u all!! LAST LEAF is a story of healing, hope, and the power of human-to-human connection through creativity. initially written for a songwriting contest by the internet archive, while i didn’t win, the original story (from over a century ago!!) had long ago taken first place in my heart, so i knew i had to share this song with the world anyway.

what youre hearing right now is NOT the final mix... that’ll be yours november 5th, though, and sneak peeks will come even sooner ;} in the meantime, i’ll be sharing lots about the process, inspiration, and collaboration behind the track! because really, this wouldn’t be possible without the help of some lovely people who saw what i did in this track. <3

i also wanna thank @internetarchive and @wnyc for putting on the public domain contest, and @bookish_songs for always pushing me to explore bringing new life to old (in this case, really old!) stories.

MUSIC MONDAY: STANZA LUNE🌟💫
It was such a JOY to talk to the whimsical Stanza Lune! 💜💟

Stanza Lune is a synthy, sapphic songster based in BC, weaving healing tunes inspired by the moon. With artistry greatly shaped by their identity as a neurodivergent, nonbinary lesbian survivor, they have brought their unique melodies, poetic lyricism, and twinkly self-produced sound to Vancouver Pride, Vancouver Fringe Festival, and more.

🎶here’s to doing what i can as an artist:
i’ve joined up with @subvertworld because we deserve a voice about the platforms our works are on!
additionally. playlists on all platforms are available on my neocities, which is linked u know where ;}

i wanna make sure my music is accessible to whoever wants it, especially as more folks move away from the bigger platforms and diversify. if there’s anywhere else folks want the comprehensive playlist, let me know and i’ll see what i can do!!
i’m hoping to release something in the fall, so here’s to getting all my ducks in a row this summer ⭐️
