4 DAYS.

LORD OF TIDES is a dark, character-driven retelling of The Odyssey, told through the interwoven POVs of gods and mortals (think Game of Thrones).

Readers can expect:
🏛️ a kingdom rotting without its king
🌿 shifting loyalties
⚔️ warring gods
🦑 mythic monsters
🌊 a treacherous journey
🏹 haunted war hero
🩸a reckoning awaiting at home.

A can-do attitude is great, but independent publishing doth require a bit more 🤏🏼 by @starkremarks

Currently ranking #1 on the list of things I’m excited about.

Back in the spring, I knew I wanted to offer an illustrated edition of Lord of Tides—without turning it into a $60+ leather-bound tome.

Thus, the illustrated hardcover was born. I’m incredibly proud to be able to offer it from my website for the same price as the regular hardcover on Amazon.

She’ll be running a few weeks behind the other formats, but I promise she’ll be worth the wait. I signed off on proofs several weeks ago, and seeing these illustrations finally come to life in print is 🔥

8 DAYS.

Lord of Tides arrives next Tuesday, and we’ve sailed past 600 preorders in the last week. I’m still a little floored by that.

Almost (but not quite) as floored as I am by what @lisaturbant_artworks did with this incredible piece✨

550 preorders unlocked a gifted color-edition hardback, which contains this piece along with 3 others 🙌🏼 If you’ve preordered, don’t forget to submit your receipt through the link in my bio to be entered.

We’re closing in fast on 650. Once we hit it, I’ll be gifting a Lord of Tides PR box for our next milestone 🌊⚡️Eight days. Let’s see how far we can take it.

Thank you to everyone who’s show this book all the love.

Did someone say AMAZING PR BOX?!?!

You guys, this PR box for Lord of Tides from @starkremarks is legit one of the greatest packages I have ever received. Genuinely geeked for this one!

I know EVERYONE and their GRANDMOTHER was in their Odyssey era this past summer, so when KD reached out and asked if I wanted to read her Odyssey retelling, I absolutely couldn’t refuse! So far, this book is genuinely amazing. I cannot get over how beautiful the prose is, how deep the story goes, and how amazing it is to have this style narrative on one of my favorite stories ever! by @starkremarks

@starkremarks has a true gift for writing & has become one of my favorite authors for a damn good reason. The talent she has for immersing you in her Greek mythology retellings is amazing. She pulls at your emotions, makes you hold your breath both in suspense & pain & satisfaction, it is unreal. I had the honor of beta reading this massively epic story & I honestly can’t tell you how fantastic it is. Thank you my sweet friend again & again 🥹💕 Keep taking over the book world & our hearts 🥲🤍 by @starkremarks

Actual footage of me entering the greatest reading slump of my life after finishing the Empire of the Vampire series.

@misterkristoff is brutally good at the craft. So good that I wasted a bottle of wine making this video👌🏼
