Very proud to announce that my short documentary, Painting It Forward, will be premiering at the ALZA Festival here in NYC!✨

ALZA celebrates the next generation of filmmakers and storytellers, and I’m incredibly grateful to have my work featured.

This story began with a simple encounter on the streets of New York City. I noticed Patrick painting one of the city’s historic fire call boxes and stopped to ask him what he was doing. What started as a quick conversation turned into a story I knew I wanted to share.

As I got to know Patrick, I realized his work was about so much more than restoring old fire call boxes. It was about community, preserving a piece of New York City’s history, and taking pride in the place we call home.

I believe that’s what New Yorkers do. We take something and leave it better than we found it. My hope is that Painting It Forward reminds people that caring for New York City is something we can all take part in. You don’t have to be born here, and you don’t have to do something extraordinary. Sometimes, all it takes is noticing something that could be better and deciding to do your part.

I’m so excited to share Patrick’s story on the big screen and be part of a festival celebrating meaningful storytelling! ❤️

Family, legacy, and 60 years of tradition 🍕

Krispy Pizza has been family-owned and operated since day one, starting right here in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn — their original location. Today, the family continues to run the business alongside their sons, keeping the legacy alive for the next generation.
We sat down with Joseph, Freddy’s son, to talk about what it’s really like growing up in and helping run a family business that’s been serving the community for decades. From hard work to pride in every slice, it’s more than just pizza — it’s family❤️
