Bruce Dieke of D&D Foreign Auto of Vallejo, CA's Mini Datsun Stepside. Bought as a wrecked truck for $500, he built this up for $5000 over the course of three weeks. Modifications include a 2.6L V6 out of a Mercury Capri with an automatic, Spearco carb and ignition, and Appliance side pipes. Taillights (not pictured) are some of the most creative repurposing of Porsche 914 units you'll ever see. Paint by Mike Cornelius, interior by Cannon Enterprises. US wire mag wheels of course...a personal favorite. California stepsides and square headlight conversions on 70's minitrucks can be very divisive, but they're so of the era, I can't help but absolutely love them. After a considerable amount of cleanup, I bring you Dick Landfield's Turbo Toyota. Propane powered, dyno'd at 130 HP. Almost three seconds faster in the quarter mile than a stock 1980 4WD Toyota. LRP conversions are always the best. This '77 Chevy stepside is called the "Rio Grande" and features Rough Country suspension, Ansen rims and 12x15" Desert Dog tires.
