Hello friends, I’m Kryzia 🫶

If you’re new here, welcome. If you’ve been here, you’ve witnessed the pivots…and the growth that came with them.

It’s been a while since I’ve done this, so here’s a proper reintroduction.

I love to build. Build stories. Build rooms. Build communities that carry weight.

I run a story-first business serving purpose-driven brands. I co-lead a non-profit introducing youth to opportunities they may not have imagined for themselves. I serve within my church, helping build people and teams with intention and faith at the centre. And I help create live music spaces that feel like connection you can’t manufacture.

But this space isn’t just about outcomes. It’s about process. Not just vision…but formation.

I’m in a season where growth feels different. More sacred. More intentional. More about becoming than proving.

Around here, you can expect real conversations about leadership and entrepreneurship. Behind-the-scenes of building. Faith that shapes decisions. Creative direction. Community. And the evolution of a woman committed to growth.

If you’re building something meaningful—in business, in faith, or in who you’re becoming—I’d love for you to build alongside me.

Welcome to the journey šŸ™ taken in Edmonton, Alberta by @stateofwisdom

So much to be thankful for, but especially thankful for this. šŸ™

A year ago, during Week of Prayer at @kingdomchurchyeg, Pastor @harrisonchokka pulled us into a room to speak a word and pray over us. I remember it so clearly. I remember crying tears of pain and hope at the same time, not knowing how the story would unfold, only that God was holding it.

And exactly one year later, I get to sit in church in the spot where there used to only be the two of us, and now there’s three of us, grateful in a way I don’t have words for.

God was never late. He was writing something I couldn’t see yet. šŸ¤ taken in Edmonton, Alberta by @stateofwisdom

A little behind-the-scenes from shoot days šŸŽ¬

The best projects start with good people in the room. Teaming up with @bydaniel._ means the team’s plan, idea, and concept on paper turns into footage that actually looks like the brand.

The goal is simple: when the client walks onto set, they shouldn’t see two companies figuring it out. They should see one cohesive team that knows exactly what we’re capturing and why.

The best part? When the prep is done right, shoot day gets to be fun. šŸ™Œ

We’ve never been big on competing. We’d rather find ways to grow alongside the people around us, because when creatives lift each other up, the work gets better. šŸ’Ŗ taken in Edmonton, Alberta by @stateofwisdom

We promise you’ll never hear this from us: ā€œSo…what do you want to film today?ā€ 🫠

Every content day and production shoot we show up to has a plan. Always.

Content days: We send a content plan ahead of time with a baseline schedule for the day, the ideas we want to film, and any key points your team needs to know so you can prep (including key messages, scripts, and more).

Bigger video productions: We build a storyboard and a comprehensive shot list in advance, so everyone knows what’s being captured and when.

Why so much prep? Because we know you and your team don’t have all the time in the world to film content. Between running your business and everything else on your plate, a couple of hours to film content is a big ask. So when we do get you on the calendar, our goal is to capture as much as we possibly can, and to make sure no one walks away feeling like their time was wasted.

Efficiency and productivity aren’t just buzzwords for us. They’re how we respect your time. šŸ’Ŗ taken in Edmonton, Alberta by @stateofwisdom

I adore our daughter with my whole heart. I also want to be honest…there have been moments in this first bit of newborn life, where I’ve thought: what the heck did I actually sign up for?

That’s scary to admit out loud. Because I’m standing in answered prayers. And I don’t want it to sound like I’m ungrateful, or like I’ve forgotten the journey to get here.

But I also don’t think gratitude and hard have to cancel each other out. I think they can sit in the same sentence.

I can be overflowing with love for her and still tell you the truth about what this actually looks like.

It looks like sitting down uncomfortably for long periods of time when every part of me is still healing, because she’ll only nap on my chest.

It looks like standing through the discomfort of my body shifting itself back together, because it’s the one thing that settles her.

It looks like running on fumes and still reaching for her the second she stirs.

Because it’s both. The love and the ā€œLord, help me.ā€ The awe and the ache. They’re not opposites…they’re just what this season is made of.

So I’m not going to pretend it’s only one or the other. I’m just going to tell the truth: I am overwhelmed by her, in every sense of that word. I thank God for her, and I pray for the strength to hold both the joy and the exhaustion. taken in Edmonton, Alberta by @stateofwisdom

Celebrated 34 this past weekend with a little extra weight 🄰

There’s a version of this year I couldn’t have written a year ago. In fact, I was writing a completely different story in my head.

When I turned 33 last year, I felt the ache of a due date that never came. I didn’t know, that day, when and if I’d get another chance to feel that particular kind of hope again. I just knew I had to keep living anyway…so I did.

I kept showing up. On the ordinary days, the hard ones, the ones where hope felt foolish and I chose it anyway. I let go of things I thought I need to hold onto so tightly. I built in places no one could see yet.

And underneath it all, the thing I’d been aching for for three years was finally happening. Not on my timeline. Not the way I pictured it. But God.

So, this past weekend celebrating 34, days away from meeting my daughter, in a house full of the people who stayed close through every version of me this year: hopeful, disappointed, grieving, waiting, building. All of it led here.

If 33 taught me anything, it’s that gratitude and grief can live in the same year, sometimes the same breath. 34 is teaching me what it feels like when the waiting finally turns into arriving. taken in Edmonton, Alberta by @stateofwisdom

Whereas last season was full of tears, this season is full of laughter. And I think both of those things make life so beautiful.

Not because one erased the other. They were never in competition. Just two different chapters, both true while I was living them. Both made me who I am. Both led me to this present moment.

And there’s something beautiful about laughter that comes after grief. It hits different. It means more.

If you’re in a tear-filled season right now, it’s not wasted. It’s shaping something too. taken in Edmonton, Alberta by @stateofwisdom

Giving our 3 weeks notice and resigning from DINK life. 🫣

Nine years of double income, zero dependents, and a life of answering to no one.

And for some reason, applied for a job with a very small, very demanding boss.

Is this a promotion? Ask us in a year. āœŒļø taken in Edmonton, Alberta by @stateofwisdom
