Sweltering through another heatwave has us thinking back to 2010, when we filmed the official music video for Phil Collins’ cover of the Motown classic, Heatwave ☀️

Filmed in Geneva for his album Going Back, the video features the legendary Funk Brothers. It was a real privilege to work alongside such iconic artists and musicians.

A very special project, and one that brings great memories.

Keep cool, everyone! by @steammotion

Following its premiere at the Tribeca Festival, our live film of Hadestown: The Musical arrived in cinemas across the US on 24 July, and the response has been nothing short of extraordinary.

In its opening weekend, Hadestown grossed more than $10.3 million, becoming the highest-grossing opening weekend for a live theatre film. What began as a five-day theatrical event has since been extended due to overwhelming audience demand.

Critics and audiences alike have embraced the film, earning it a 100% Tomatometer and 99% Popcornmeter on Rotten Tomatoes, alongside a New York Times Critics’ Pick.

For us, this project was about so much more than documenting a Broadway and West End phenomenon. Working with the brilliant London cast and crew, alongside the original Broadway principles, director Rachel Chavkin, writer Anaïs Mitchell and the wider creative team, our goal was to create a cinematic experience that remained true to the magic of live theatre whilst bringing audiences closer to the performance than ever before. That ambition has been reflected in the response.

We’re excited to see the next chapter for Hadestown: The Musical, which is set for a UK cinema release in October. Stay tuned for the next project we’ve been working on… by @steammotion

We had one hell of a good time filming @justintimebway, now featuring two-time Tony Award nominee @jeremymjordan as Bobby Darin! 💫

This time around, we threw a drone into the mix to showcase the scale and spectacle of this production.

We loved collaborating with @alextimbers and the team @spotco to bring this production to life on-screen 🎥 by @steammotion
