Autumn night swimming right in the middle of a rough storm.

Air sitting at 10.9°C (51,6 °F), water at 12.0°C (53,6 °F) under a swallowed, absolute darkness.

No artificial lights, just the howling wind, the raw weight of the elements, and the absolute silence of the lake. No neoprene wetsuit.

Some call it madness.

Most people pack away their gear in mid-October. For me, the real season is just starting.

Local lake monster spotted in Northern Germany. 🦖🌊

Current stats:

💧 Water: 12.2°C (54°F)
🧠 Sanity level: Questionable, but thriving.

They say cold water immersion boosts your immune system, resets your nervous system, and builds mental resilience.

I just do it because the lake is finally empty and I have the whole horizon to myself.
