1st of October!! Where will October take you, and where are we crossing paths? ✨

Art month is officially here, and the calendar is looking very full.

First and foremost, a very special moment for us: the opening of our first physical TAEX Gallery space in Monaco. We celebrate with a private opening on 8 October, followed by the opening of Kevin Abosch’s exhibition on 9 October. See you there!

Then it’s Monaco → Frieze London → Art Basel Paris.

My latest art trip in the South of France 🇫🇷 @lacitadelle_vsm

A day at La Citadelle de Villefranche-sur-Mer for Investing in Icons: Art & Collectable Cars, hosted by @74tharts and Parnexus, surrounded by art, history and one of the most beautiful settings on the Côte d’Azur.

We began with Camille Frasca, Director of La Citadelle, taking us through The Absurd and the Dreamlike, bringing together the extraordinary worlds of Arne Quinze and Joana Vasconcelos across the gardens, courtyards and centuries-old walls of the fortress.

Curated by Selcan Atilgan and Clare Lilley, the exhibition feels completely at home in this unusual place, a 16th-century fortress owned by the city and transformed into a public centre for art and culture.

And forgive any creative pronunciation of “Vasconcelos” along the way. Portuguese is not one of my languages 😅

So lucky to travel the world for work, meet incredible people, discover beautiful places and experience moments I could have only dreamed of 🌍✈️✨ But today, celebrating my birthday at home in London, surrounded by close friends and family, is the perfect reminder that there really is no place like home 🏡🤍

London has brought so many wonderful people, opportunities and unforgettable moments into my life, and I couldn’t be more grateful for this chapter 🇬🇧❤️

Have you seen the Rothko show in Florence yet? What did you think? 👀

One of the most interesting things about the exhibition is seeing Rothko before the Rothko we think we know. His early figurative works reveal the influences and questions that occupied him long before the iconic colour fields — the human figure, architecture, mythology and, increasingly, the search for a more universal emotional language.

Seen together, you understand that abstraction wasn’t simply a stylistic destination for Rothko, but a way of stripping the image down until colour, scale and space could carry the emotional weight themselves.

And seeing these works in Florence, surrounded by the Renaissance tradition that Rothko himself deeply admired, adds another layer to the conversation.
