Un livre pour suivre les lignes de fuite 📘 Cet ouvrage autour du travail de Steffani Jemison accompagne un ensemble d’œuvres récentes développées entre Paris et Genève, en dialogue avec ses expositions personnelles à Lafayette Anticipations et au Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève. À travers la vidéo, le texte, la performance et le son, Steffani Jemison explore les manières dont les corps bougent, résistent, se dérobent. On y trouve notamment un texte de la commissaire de l’exposition à Lafayette Anticipations Caroline Honorien (@marsalis666),  une conversation entre @SteffaniJemison et la chorégraphe @ligiamlewis, un extrait de ‘Flight Theater’, texte performatif co-écrit avec @quincyflowers2020, ainsi que plusieurs écrits de l’artiste elle-même, dont ‘Bound’ et une sélection de ‘A Rock, A River, A Street’. Le livre intègre également un corpus de textes qui nourrissent la pensée et la pratique de Jemison : un poème de Lucille Clifton, un extrait des ‘Confessions’ de Nat Turner, ainsi que des textes de @kazimalipoet, Dionne Brand, Gwendolyn Brooks, @ashoncrawley et Gregg Bordowitz.
